The general idea is emphasizing ladder games and making them an actual part of the schedule. That accomplishes a few things, one that it helps ensure that every team more or less always has a competitive game every few days, and it helps give teams that don't make the playoffs, or lose in them, meaningful games to look forward to during the time. Players also get XP for ladder games.

Leagues themselves are also a lot more static than GLB, and you will generally play with the same group of people all throughout your team's career.

We think the league structure helps bring back the rivalries and knowing your opponents of the pyramid structure from the early days of GLB, while the ladder improves on the competitiveness that the cloud structure hoped to achieve. Kind of a best of both worlds type of deal, with added benefits.

That is the best news I've ever heard on GLB...well 2nd to the plans including an All-Star Game in GLB2.

Fatality!!!!...................maybe.....Flawless Victory.....pending hands on experience

Also, I think the "free day" is going to be the same day across the board for all leagues, and this is the day that tournaments and any other extra type of games would be scheduled for.

We're also planning a couple special types of games that aren't ready for testing, but they will give the people who want "more" something to do.

I think more people are worried about stat representation in comparison to real life than they are regular season cares. They want to set bench marks for their players. Having a 16 game season makes absolutely the most sense in any standard. It is what people relate to. But I would certainly love a division aspect over a conference aspect.

hmm i still dont really understand the concept from a statistical representation. the ladder games are cool and all but people want to compare statistics. the ladder should be secondary to league. not equal to it. most of the emphasis should be put on league games and the data going into them. as well as records posted in them. im taking it that ladder games mean the games are forced on which who you play via the ladder which meh...

but you have no reasons to support a player draft. at least none that i have seen. you havent even refuted any of my claims as to why its useless other than to claim you did it a couple times in leagues i honestly never heard much about other than your posts about them.

Once I actually get hands on experience wit the new game I'll be able to give a solid answer/refute.
From everything being said and shown a draft would fit in very nicely wether official or non-official draft

superstars is the only thing that make some sense for a draft in that equation. neither of the other things support a draft at all.

the only reasons to support a draft are that you can distinguish player value across the board. if you cant do that the draft is meaningless and time consuming for absolutely no reason.

It can be both live and automated so what used to take endless hours of drafting before can be done in an hour or 2 at most like fantasy drafts.
It can also be voluntary as always.

Actually I was only inquiring about it given the dwindled userbase...
At the higher levels it could still work here...just sayin'
