Fixed.

Boosting can be confirmed. There is no way to know if TSE actually game-planned since he does all the game-planning, right?

P.S. The Adriana Lima Beans have never game-planned for a game ever. If we would game-plan, we'd surely win every game by 100. If we lose, it would only be because we didn't game-plan imo. Do you believe me?

We game-planned, then threw it out the window a few hours before the game and decided to have fun with it and do something crazy.

Damn, Reykjavik Aggies take Dryden to OT.

Good shit Dryden, GReddy was the difference in that game hands down.

I will not comment on who gameplans on the team.

I can say, however, that DDL did not gameplan for Antwerp. Although we did change it to "lofty pass" for a joke.

If you don't believe me, that's fine.

In any case, bring on round 2! Maybe we'll try...

Yup, hell of a game. Not pretty, but definitely entertaining.

This tournament is interesting. It's kinda like the first round of the NCAAs, in that you face a team you know next to nothing about and pretty crazy shit happens.

lol if they do

I bet less than 10 percent actually gameplan to win, its a good chance to test stuff out against a good team

Well I think our 20 point underdog WE AAA #2 team fared pretty damn well against one of USA Pro's better teams. It took a shank by our pretty reliable kicker and a fumbled kick return for a TD for you to beat us. Whether you game planned for us or not, you might want to at least show your next opponent a little more respect and do that. If your gonna play in this tournament, try and at least give it your best, it will mean more to everyone.

Again thanks for the opportunity, we learned several things about our team moving forward.

You played DDL better than anyone in USA Pro has this year. You earned alot of respect even if you didn't get the W. See ya next year.

why lol @ teams that want to win the tournament of the best teams ever assembled in GLB? Isn't that the point of the game? To win? I would rather win this tournament than the CPL title if I had to pick.

And you can test stuff against a team any day of the week if you want to. Why would you enter a tournament of the best teams just to do that?

And with how often Bort changes stuff, something that works in game 1 doesn't work in game 5, so no use hording info. Plus everyone gets to see the results of your experiments. Kinda defeats the purpose if you find something that works.

Because it's wasting experience points. IMO, you'd be better off waiting until lvl 29/30 (when the maximum amount of experience earned per game stops going down) or right before the playoffs. Then your players would be in slightly better shape for this season's playoffs, as well as next seasons Top 64 Team Tournament (when they can boost without worrying about losing any experience).

It isn't as straightforward as you think. The top 10 teams or so would rather win their own league (USA Pro). Then it is about 25-50% of the other owners would rather win this I think. Yes, everyone will have excuses the first year, but I think the winner of this tournament will generally be viewed as a top 3 team in GLB any way you slice it.

No one outside of USA Pro could say that before. No matter if they won SA Pro or SE Asia Pro or WEPL (or even CPL) 10 times in a row, they were always considered 2nd class citizens. Dryden and the Hobos get little to no respect right now across GLB as top teams. FYI, Trout gets even less respect than Dryden or the Hobos.

If any of the 3 (Dryden, Hobos, Trout) would reel off 6 straight victories against top opposition in this tournament, they would be more respected IMO than if they won CPL.

Anyone from another league want to weigh in on my bolded statement there?

Which holds more weight - a CPL crown or the winner of this tournament?

This is the first season where we will actually have a legit champion for CPL, and we know that each team is taking each playoff game seriously (and I expect the same in every other league). The same cant be said for this. A bunch of teams aren't boosting for this, but every single one of them will for the playoffs.

You played admirably, but we knew you were outclassed. We tried out "lofty pass" because we hadn't used it. We now know it sucks.

We're in GLB to win the Pro league, not a very debatable "best of". If we can try out tactics against a good team (and you are good), we will. No harm done.
