I'm not liking how Offensive Linemen have to choose between pass and run blocking - especially seeing as there's no realistic way for OCs to put in specific Olinemen on specific plays. Perhaps for OTs it might be a bit more acceptable, but in all honesty I do think the other two Olinemen positions need to be a bit more balanced.

You can still build towards being balanced...

I like how there are so many people complaining about not being able to have build flexibility.

What about the rushing FBs that are currently being "forced" to build blocking FBs based on their ALGs?

No it's cool, I'll work on Speed when I hit level 56.

The only thing this does is give us ALGs that make more sense. Ok sure, you make a HB and you aren't certain what ALGs you want in the long run. You know what? ANY ALGs are going to be better than THROWING regardless of what build you're going for.

Not sure if you want a run blocker or pass blocker? Well you know what? ANY ALGs are better than TACKLING regardless of what build you're going for.

good post - sums it up well.

There should definitely be a balanced blocker. Majors: Strength, Blocking, Agility, Minors: Vision, Confidence, Speed. Make it happen.

Everyone would choose that guy at creation. Was deemed a bit too powerful.

I like it and support it.

Man I didn't think I would ever catch up! I love the idea. This will make life for OC's and DC's easier in the long run in building the system you want. And for those complaining that your player will be pigeonholed into a build, that isn't true. If you build within that archetype then you will be much more rewarded with the build, but you can stray out side of it and still have a solid dot.

It would now, but a rushing QB can become a good passing QB. Some have, Cunningham, VY. But like someone said this isn't the NFL, so why not let them be dual threats?

Then their should be a new archetype that is dual thread, right?

And, lol VY isn't a good passer, and I'm a Titans fan.

ok let me reiterate something.

We're not taking suggestions to changing or adding new archetypes. I'll go add that to the OP. What you see here is what you're getting.

why not? id estimate 85% of NFL lineman are way better at one then they are at the other, and outside of goaline situations, OL rareley gets subbed out.

This update does scream for custom DE slots though....

Is Stamina a set minor? Meaning it can't be used as a major? Because honestly, I think Stamina would be a better Major than Confidence considering the amount of weight they'll carry and the energy drain from the hard hits they'll get (presumably since they'll be running right up the middle more than other builds).

I could see that argument being made. However, I would spend sp to cap con before I ever spent sp to cap sta.
