Look, the cheaters changed their team name and they boosted. Maybe we'll be confused by this new Viking team. Maybe we'll be surprised that half their starting lineup are lvl 24's and forget all this lying. Yeah right. Every game they win is playoff revenue stolen from the team they beat.

Bort and the Admins completely f-ed this league over when they allowed this. I hope it doesn't happen, but based on their levels and ratings they're now the best team in BBB#15, and if all of the other top-seeds win that means that as the #1 seed my team Rapid City is going to have the honor of getting hosed in the 2nd round.

What a crock of crap.

I have nothing against that team - they have the right to move their players if they choose. There's nothing in the game to prohibit it or to incentivize against it, so it's not cheating.

I also tend not to care about how other teams are structured, but with the name change, I took a look at their team.

They obviously waited until the playoffs to boost their team, which is what is recommended for highly competitive teams. However, I don't believe they were competitive enough to wait. With their 4 losses that they otherwise wouldn't have with early boosts, they fell to 5th place, meaning that they lose out on 3 home playoff games (which they have a good shot at with their newly boosted team). In addition, the losses cost fan support, which impacted concessions and ticket prices throughout the season. Ultimately, it looks like waiting to boost cost their team with that stadium about $12 million. I can't see any major advantages. Most teams in our league are fairly balanced pass/run, so it's not like they could use the extra SP to build a team to exploit other builds. And the extra XP gained from being at the lower level for 16 weeks is only a fraction of a level.

So I guess the question is: why did they wait so long to boost?

That's a 180 from someone who was bumping this thread regularly to remind everyone that they're here, got away with this, and there's nothing we can do about it. What happened Monoxide? Did you finally realize what you guys did was lame? Did you conscience kick in? Did you cancel your plans to move everyone to an expansion team in Canada if you don't win in BBB this year?

And Matta, I'm pretty sure at one point in one of the many threads or PM's about this issue either the owner or one of the GM's said they cared more about playing together than winning, and that they wouldn't boost if sticking them in a lower league like this was so unfair. I'm not going to search every post ever in this forum to see if that was said or not, but the fact that they waited this long does sort of support that.

I don't understand why it's unfair? Because we're only in the 3rd season, the leagues haven't equilibrated. As a result, there are teams with bad owners / coordinators in AAA that are worse than teams with good owners / coordinators in BBB. Give this game 10 or so seasons, and the cream will rise and the mud will sink, and there will be parity in the leagues. Then, if someone comes into a BBB with some ringers, it won't be fair. But right now, it's not that big of a deal.

That's all I'm really going to say about the issue. I just don't get why so many people are so upset over this.

Cuz people are idiots and like to cry all the time. They needed something to bitch about and it was us for this season. People think we care if we are not in the little weekly reports? Who cares. We wanted to change the name at the seasons start but we said why not wait till the playoffs to do it. Its not like we changed our team name to be in disguise lol.

If I would have boosted my guys early they would not have reached 24. So it was worth not boosting we made the playoffs.

The difference was only 300 XP and it cost your team at least $12 million. In fact, you could have boosted your players just 1 level, cost yourself only 200 XP, and probably made all of that money.

It seems like either really poor financial planning or some myopic players who don't care about the owner/team. Based on the construction choices in the stadium, ticket pricing, and current financial state of the team, it seems to be the former.

No, people are "bitching" because 90% of the players in this league were created at the very end of season 1 or afterwards. Most BBB owners found out they were getting teams during the Season 1 offseason and players were built/recruited from there. You guys weren't winning in a more mature AA league so you shut down shop and moved everyone here where you have a 2-3 level advantage over most of the players in this league. That's exactly the kind of thing Bort has specifically said isn't allowed. To move a substantial number of high-level players down a couple of levels of competition where it will obviously unbalance the league. The Devils went from being a decent team to the odds-on favorite to win the entire BBB#15 when you guys did that and you know it. You can try to act stupid like you don't understand, like there's no advantage to it, etc, but you know it's true

Why don't you pull your sick kid out of school for a couple of years, then when he's 16 and playing 8th grade football you can rub it in and talk about how awesome he is beating up on all the 13 and 14 year olds.
