TOURING THE STADIUMS OF THE BBB10 WESTERN CONFERENCE part 1

Home Sweet Dome - Home of the New Orleans Nation. Capacity (13760)
This was the largest stadium on my tour. I was treated to the flava of Naw'lens. Friendly folks with lots of southern hospitality. It was a little awkward the way all of their fans kept yellin CHA-CHING! And good Lord their fans can drink!

Speaking of Butts Field - Home of the Orange Maner. Capacity (10960)
I was curious to the origin of the structure's name until I realized that their fans have a tendency to moon the visiting fans throughout the game. I couldn't even enjoy my experience there because the fella next to me kept his pants down the entire game.

Hell's Kitchen - Home of the Los Angeles Gauchos. Capacity (10920)
The Gauchos are passionate about their football. For a team that has struggled this season, their fans scream and holla like they were in first place. One of the loudest stadiums on my tour.

The Slaughterhouse - Home of the Bellevue Blitz. Capacity (10720)
Bellevue was a beautiful destination stop. Surrounded by lush rolling hills and towering oaks, I was looking forward to entering the stadium. That's when I realized why it was called The Slaughterhouse. The place was filthy beyond belief. Everywhere you looked, there were empty beer cups, nacho cheese stained seats, and rotting foam fingers from seasons past. Whoever is in charge of custodial duties needs to be fired.

Thunderdome Stadium - Home of the Northwest Nighthawks. Capacity (10350)
Nestled atop the scenic hills of the pacific northwest, Thunderdome was a unique experience. The fans were a bit eccentric and unorthodox. At times during the game, they just seemed to go into a trance as if they were trying to summon the great thunderbird of northwestern mythology. And I'll be dipped in spit if the sky didn't start rumbling outside that huge dome. The team drew from this energy and played like men possessed.

Next up on the tour: Gilead, Charlestown, Biloxi, The Snails, and Badlands.

To be continued...

Nice read, Thrash.

Don't count on it. His plan is quite the opposite. This is a pretty big team with quite a few very active users. Don't discount that fact in our success.

Most members of the blitz has any more than three players on the team. I may have on guy with 4. Point is, rather than buying my own team (literally), I invited friends and co-workers to play with me so that it would be fun.

I have no problem with the guy that has 12 - 20 of his own guys on his team, I just think it goes against the intent of a game like this which is to build a friendly competitive community.

We've done the very same thing with the Nation, actually. We have many players all competing together in a bit of a community.

I feel I should note for accuracy that the previous poster exaggerated quite a bit. Camo has 9 total players on the Nation roster, and 7 of them are starters. He's not starting 12 or 13 players, as was claimed.

Just to set the record straight. Most of our players come from a group at the University of Southern Mississippi and from a New Orleans Saints fan forum, along with users recruited from in the game.

Let's not misquote people here. NW said that if camo brought his DT, DE, and LB over he would have 12 on the team.

Oh, and he didn't say anything about starters.

I'm not sure too many owners can beat the 28 player mark that Whitchurch's mrdisney is setting here in the Eastern Conference ;-)

Mmhmm. I would say once you're hitting double digits, then there's an argument. I know that camo has no plans to bring more players to the Nation, so no worries. Complaining about an owner having too many players at this point is a little...I dunno. Not cool.

Basically, we at the Nation want to be seen as a nice, friendly group of guys out to have a fun, competitive time. So I'm just pointing out that we're not going to end up with 20 players from one owner. No worries there. I'm of the opinion that if you do that, what's the point in playing the game? (Hell, I'm personally against the idea that you can PAY to make players better, but I guess the game designers have to pay for it somehow )

I think the addiction is just a little bit more noticeable in some people...I'm up to 18 total players now, and I'm having to force myself to stop. I think it would be cool to have them all on one team, but that's just not feasible.

Oh it's feasible...but people would biotch about it day and night. Nice avatar, BTW. Did I tell you that before?

Did anyone see the thread where the guy owned 2 teams and over a hundred players. One guy on the team I GM did the calculations. Dude would have had to have paid (conservatively) over $1200 to get all those players and teams.

I agree with NWWarrior. Just to stay competitive i have mad 9 guys. I created a lot of them half way through the season so they are lower levs. So before you start saying people are biotching just remember that owners like NWWarrior have probably spent more time recruiting other people than thos that have paid for theirs. In the end what is worth more to you: spending the time to get more indiviuals playing for one team or buying a team of players? Each of us is different.

I totally agree. Like I said, I think paying ANYTHING for this game is...weird. I'm pretty much determined never to pay a cent towards player improvement, personally.

My only point is the Nation isn't a team full of owner-controlled ringers.

Throw out records when the Battle for Oklahoma is being played. Very exciting game that came down to the last play.

Well, turns out I was right to be worried. OUTSTANDING defensive performance by the Nighthawks shuts down the top offense in the conference and batters our defense with 150 hard-earned rushing yards.

Congratulations, 'Hawks. You deserved this one!

Great game to the Nation!!!

Went about as many of us discussed on here, good smashmouth football game. Neither team able to run for 100 yards by a single back. Just a well played game. We gave up our first sack of the year to your D-line! If we meet in the playoffs it could go either way again, but we will take this one for now

Good game NO Nation....now to the Badlands
