Well, I took a look at the program, but it needs Windows Vista, 7 or 8, and I'm runnin' Windows XP, so that's out anyway.

But yeah, old PCs can do more than people might think. I'm proving that every day with this one.

Just felt like I was whining too much in this thread.

Not trying to whine, just giving some feedback on how GLB 2 works on a computer that's a bit more... seasoned.

NP I was just repeating what the old man says in Duck Dynasty lol

Man, can't believe we've gone this long without a screen-shot leak of THE MOST IMPORTANT NEW FEATURE OF ALL: the new palette of team colors!!!

Anyone wanna hook us up?

On the stats question.

Record Books, stat compilations, team records, etc etc.

Will this be a feature by the time the game opens to all?

There's already stat compilation for league leaders and team leaders. It is trivial to expand that to a record book, which I do plan to do, before launch if possible, but potentially might just wait after the first season when there actually are some records to compile.

I just watched a lot of TT's game. A lot of players just "running out of bounds" when they don't really need to yet.

Day 0 players fwiw.

No, I think the plan is to keep GLB a coordinator and player builder focused game. The inability to really screw up a build in the new game is going to appeal to the non math types.

yeah, GLB2 is sounding less and less appealing to me

A few observations from clicking through a few games and reading the posts here:

- The replays look a whole lot better with smaller players. Still think it could be improved quite a bit though. Love the side angle as it gets you more involved in the play. Will be a bit more difficult from a game planning perspective.

- Really would like 16 regular season games. For a stat nerd it is nice to compare stats to a real NFL football season.

- Record books should be in place, at least save all the data so it can be completely implemented later. This is a big minus with the current game.

- It is great that they are finally cutting down the roster size. It should provide much more team identity and diversity between teams.

It really wouldn't affect loading that much, if it all. Like Homage said, it would just be an extra visual layer or a completely different layer all together. Plus some added code to the sim to create the effects on quality of play that whatever type of weather selected would cause.

The real reason it wouldn't happen, in my opinion, is you would need to add even more complexity to both the OAI and DAI to account for this. Which I don't believe they are interested in doing in either version of GLB at this point.

I am referring to dot.... ugh, I mean gif safety.
49ers/Seattle game was delayed an hour, we should have the same consideration for gifs.
Let's say a 30 min delay for in-climate weather just to be on the safe side

Next time your sim runs late just blame the weather.

Just the other day I was thinking the world needed a brand new football game with 8 bit graphics. Thank you GLB!

Funny I was thinking it needed a jumbled thread of 230+ pages that one would need to read in order to piece together details of that 8 bit game.

If it came out any other way, I would not believe these guys created it, tbh.

Why not just give everybody a participation ribbon and call it a day?

If we can't screw up the build, then by definition we can't make the build excellent either, because at the highest level of any game a "screwed up build" is one that hasn't been maximized so that it can compete well with the opposition.

I find it hard to believe that there is no way to screw up a build. There is ALWAYS a way to screw up a build, and I usually find that way

There is a way to screw up a build it seems , max out a stat. I like that lol. But seriously as long as each build type has counters it should work out fine.
