as it stands it says Gold League Winner, which just doesn't sound right representing what the trophy is for.

I never even noticed this before. I guess I was just happy to finally get the trophy. Any chance the S13 Trophy's words can be changed to LE's suggestion? I wouldn't want anyone to be confused and think we won the Gold League.

I know your trying GTDTD, but I think it was best had we just called this thing after the second round. I think the only reason why it's still going on is teams want that MVT trophy. Chicago already played East Texas and now scheduled them in again.

That right there is one reason why the MVT trophy should be voted in. I don't think it will be a popularity contest but more of what the other owners think of who deserves it. As it is now you will have a gold team beating up a silver team twice and then everyone crying foul. Personally I could care less. I just want the Gold league to win the tourney. I think you can't take 8 teams and match them up and let them play 3 rounds to get a fair MVT award because they can be matched up vs some easy competition.

I think we need to have something like the coaches poll in the old college days. Have some thought process behind the voting instead of team A scored 98 pts vs team B. Things to be taken into consideration is did Team A have a fully boosted team vs Team B? Then let's say you have an unboosted 48 man team C beat team D by 3 points which is fully boosted. IMO that Team C deserves the MVT more so than team A who was out leveling team B by 600 points. So then Team C would get my vote. As it stands now Team A fully boosted beating up a team non boosted will get a 98 point head start which IMO sucks.

I think we should have a voting process all 3 rounds and only the commish knows the results. Then at the end of the tourney the commish submits them publicaly. Also have a selection committe that selects who enters the tourney through an invitation. Anyways it's not my tourney but I thought I would throw these suggestions out there.

I can agree on some of this.....The real purpose for us all to play is the MVT.

We could of easily had it last season in my own opinion.
Let's make this work for all involved and this tourney will rise to the top and be a Classic Event!

Sometimes pride and egos do get involved (I can't say I have not been careless also, cause I have)
I just want the same chance the MVT candidate has, because I think we can be a contender.

How about just to be sure its not really a popularity contest we have gold vote for silver and silver vote for gold? All PMs come to me. Maybe have it where every team owner (Only team owners) send me a PM with who they think deserves it for X round and why they deserve it so that there really won't be a pop contest.

I say @ the end of the contest the 2 top teams play each other for the MVT of each league will make a difference!!!!!!!!!!

That should work for eliminating greed as a factor, but not the popularity aspect of it, I'm pretty sure (as I plan to enter this tourny next season) that my teams not going to get any votes even if I went undefeated....

Maybe just pick a selection comity like LE suggested, but then have those same people vote for the MVT [on top of choosing the teams to invite] thus increasing the demand for a quality comity, but I'm sure you'll find some people.

Nope. I can't agree to this. This isn't the freaking BCS... the rules were stated at the start, and those were the rules that I joined the tournament agreeing to. We can't change the rules mid-stream.

It doesn't matter if they are playing the same team again... the whole point was to match-up #1 vs. #1, #2 vs. #2, etc. The teams with the most wins gets MVT. If teams tie for most wins, then it goes to highest +/- score.

That's the way the tourny was set out. Doesn't matter if teams are playing the same teams again... that was never explicitly stated in the tourny rules.

Voting for the MVT is just bullshit. You have two games to look at... do you really think you are going to award the MVT based on two games? No. It will go to the Silver team with the most recognition and the Gold team with the most recognition.

Basically if Crackertown and ACS win their games in this round, one of the two of them clinch the trophy. If both of them lose, the rest of Gold still has a shot at the top by winning their second game. They are matched up against the top two silver teams in the tourny, so they have a chance to lose those games and make it a fair contest.

If there is a vote at this point, it must be between ACS and Crackertown for the MVT because they are the only two undefeated teams.

If you don't like it, you should have won your round one match.

Clearly we were talking about next season... but aight JUMP DOWN SOME THROATS, I agree the rescheduling was horsecrap though, the Bears had already scheduled their next matchup when they decided to shuffle.

well I guess you missed the part about I don;'t give two shits about the MVT award. I was talking about next season. I was just stating the facts why teams still wanted to play this out was for the MVT award and yes TT you are the loudest of the group.
