During the preseason, there are still plenty of fans going to the stadium, but you get no profit. My suggestion is that you don't get as much cash as a regular season game, but maybe like half the price for tickets, and the same amount of profit from concessions.
Also, I think there should be an option for parking. NFL teams get a lot of profit from parking, and I think there should be the same here. It would definitely help some teams get some more income, especially the ones that can't cover equipment. Thoughts?
I also like the idea of offseason stuff in the stadium.

Cool, another person who can't manage their finances adequately.
While I agree that part of the financial structure is flawed, if you can't make it work you shouldn't be an owner. Besides, once the stadium is completely built, won't you be bored? I know I will be.
Then why not generate more for owners to do with parking, concerts in the off-season (plus parking revenue, since stadiums do host concerts), I could even MAYBE see sales for pre-season but it would have to be like 1/2 expected for those (kind of like away teams for playoffs). For pre-season (just like away teams in the playoffs) I don't think concessions should come into play though, fans can bring their own for those.
I think parking and concerts is a perfectly reasonable addition though.

It is not always about not being able to manage finances, but as an earlier poster mentioned, if you recieve a team and it is in an uncapped league and the stadium has been reset, you are pretty much forced to slow build for the first two or so seasons before you can afford a 40 man roster of lvl 40-50 players. I don't care how good an owner is, if you have a new stadium in an uncapped league there is no way to pay the salaries of 40 lvl 40+ players on teh revenue from the original sections and concessions.
I do believe that people should learn how to be financially stable before owning a team for themselves, but at the same time, how can this be a life like game without parking sales. Hell, even in the owner mode of madden, there is parking income. The rest should be left out (i.e. concerts, preseason ticket sales etc.) but the parking income should be added. It has been suggested before, and the only negative people have about it is to say " stop complaining and learn to manage your cash" which is easy for someone with a full stadium and high fan support to say. At the end of the day, if we are going to have something as retarded as 1/2 price tickets for away playoff games, we should most definately have home parking sales.

you'd have to pay for the parking lot maybe?
