Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Saw that too Thunder, Camos (owner of Nation) own players...wonder if the Level 11's DE, DT and LB he created will be arriving in the Nation lineup soon too?

That would give him 12 of his own players on his team, almost rivaling The Snails owner with 18 of his own and the Chiefs owner with 19 of his own players....Biloxi owner has 18 of his own players.... Badlands owner has 9...

This is actually been discouraging to find out...I actually felt bad about having 5 players on my team and my GM only has 1, I guess I could bring over my level 13 QB and dominating Level 13 CB but I never thought of that...Man was I the fool...We are not really playing other teams, but playing other players the owner has made...bummer....cheap contracts, owner can easily control the energy...ETC...ETC

Kudos to Monte of the Regulators for having created quite a few players but spreading them out across other teams...and many other owners in the Western BBB #10.

I am definitely in favor of the GLB(Bort) making it where owners can only have 2-5 of his own player creations on a team he owns!!! UGGG

But no.. the East isn't very well represented and unfortunately I believe myself and Eso (forgive me for missing others) are the only truly active owners. Going to try have another pre-game done for this week, but really busy at the moment.

Good luck to you guys tonight Mystikal.

Hey I'm active Don't have much time to spend on GLB for a few weeks cause of exams though. Will try and post a bit more to keep the East interesting though.

TOURING THE STADIUMS OF THE BBB10 WESTERN CONFERENCE part 1

Home Sweet Dome - Home of the New Orleans Nation. Capacity (13760)
This was the largest stadium on my tour. I was treated to the flava of Naw'lens. Friendly folks with lots of southern hospitality. It was a little awkward the way all of their fans kept yellin CHA-CHING! And good Lord their fans can drink!

Speaking of Butts Field - Home of the Orange Maner. Capacity (10960)
I was curious to the origin of the structure's name until I realized that their fans have a tendency to moon the visiting fans throughout the game. I couldn't even enjoy my experience there because the fella next to me kept his pants down the entire game.

Hell's Kitchen - Home of the Los Angeles Gauchos. Capacity (10920)
The Gauchos are passionate about their football. For a team that has struggled this season, their fans scream and holla like they were in first place. One of the loudest stadiums on my tour.

The Slaughterhouse - Home of the Bellevue Blitz. Capacity (10720)
Bellevue was a beautiful destination stop. Surrounded by lush rolling hills and towering oaks, I was looking forward to entering the stadium. That's when I realized why it was called The Slaughterhouse. The place was filthy beyond belief. Everywhere you looked, there were empty beer cups, nacho cheese stained seats, and rotting foam fingers from seasons past. Whoever is in charge of custodial duties needs to be fired.

Thunderdome Stadium - Home of the Northwest Nighthawks. Capacity (10350)
Nestled atop the scenic hills of the pacific northwest, Thunderdome was a unique experience. The fans were a bit eccentric and unorthodox. At times during the game, they just seemed to go into a trance as if they were trying to summon the great thunderbird of northwestern mythology. And I'll be dipped in spit if the sky didn't start rumbling outside that huge dome. The team drew from this energy and played like men possessed.

Next up on the tour: Gilead, Charlestown, Biloxi, The Snails, and Badlands.

To be continued...

I did up the Power Rankings before todays games

1 New Orleans Nation
2 Badlands Abomination
3 Northwest Nighthawks
4 Gilead Gunslingers
5 Santa Fe Regulators
6 Biloxi Dirty Man-Whores
7 The Screaming Snails
8 Charlestown Chiefs
9 Seattle Spartans
10 Bellevue Blitz
11 Los Angeles Gauchos
12 Orange Maners
13 San Diego Savages
14 Tulsa Scorpions
15 Oakland BlackReign
16 Oklahoma City Red Rangers

The Nation has moved into the #1 spot mainly because of the buzz surounding the potential League MVP in Fletcher Westbrook. 2nd leading rusher and carries a 6.7yd average with no fumbles all year he keeps playing like that they may be unstopple.

The Charleston Chiefs keep climbing up the power rankings with a promise from the coach for an 8 game winning streak they have lived up to it so far.

There is some question as to who is at the bottom of the league the BlackReign have a more talented team but some have questioned the coaching abilities of the team leading to some discontent in the locker room. They have said that the Red Rangers will come out on top in 2 days time, we all anxiously await the game.
All being said, with only 2 offensive TDs the Red Rangers will continue to stay at the bottom of the rankings.

Don't count on it. His plan is quite the opposite. This is a pretty big team with quite a few very active users. Don't discount that fact in our success.

Just for accuracy sake, ESO is the Defensive Secondary Coach/GM for the Ludlow Lions. I am the owner. I read these boards every day, however I'm not as eloquent as ESO is, so I've been happy to let him act as the mouth of the Lions...a task he is well suited for :-)

There has been some very good writing in this thread, and I specifically look forward to your (Seizure) game breakdown, Thrashmaster does a wonderful job for the west also but of course right now I'm much more interested in what's going on in the East. Keep up the good work, I know I for one appreciate it!

Thanks Thrash,

Since your coming next week I had to clean up around the stadium. Build new seats so we looked respectable.

Most members of the blitz has any more than three players on the team. I may have on guy with 4. Point is, rather than buying my own team (literally), I invited friends and co-workers to play with me so that it would be fun.

I have no problem with the guy that has 12 - 20 of his own guys on his team, I just think it goes against the intent of a game like this which is to build a friendly competitive community.

Also, the cleaning crews are rolling through The Slaughterhouse as we speak. Got to get ready for next weeks game.

Eastern Conference, Week 9 Preview: Time to Shine

#4 Big 12 Champions vs. #8 Charm City Headset Jockie
#12 Northeast Storm vs. #14 Greensboro Tsunami
#11 Whitchurch Mouseketeers vs. #3 Florida LightningBolts
#10 Indianapolis Warlords vs. #13 Bay Area Wolfpack
#6 NewDawn Thrashing Badgers vs. #9 Pittsburgh Deatons
#5 Virginia Wolverines vs. #1 Birmingham Bombers ((Game of the week))
#2 Ludlow Lions vs. #7 Denver Stallions
#16 Lake Erie Menace vs. #15 Tampa Tiger Sharks

Preview: The battle for playoff position continues and should be extremely intense here in week 9. We have several big games to follow this week: Birmingham must travel to Virginia to face a dangerous Wolverine team. Ludlow plays host to Denver in a very important battle for Denver's playoff picture. Pittsburgh and NewDawn clash in a game that could prove pivotal for one team's playoff aspirations. Finally, we have Big 12 facing off against Charm City. It should be a very exciting week of football here in the Eastern conference.

#4 Big 12 Champions (6-2) vs. #8 Charm City Headset Jockie (5-3)
Can Charm City rebound from a disappointing loss to Whitchurch last week? It will not be easy against the Champions. Charm City does boast a potentially explosive offensive attack, but the secondary is the strength of Big 12's defense. The Champions will look to ride the back of the conference's leading rusher Zander Moore. Although Charm City relies mostly on a successful passing attack they have shown the ability to get the job done on the ground as well. They will have to find a way to mix up the run and pass and have success moving the ball against Big 12. If this is a low scoring affair it will definitely play into the Champions favor. Should be a good matchup.

Key matchup: Zander Moore vs. Charm City's defensive line. Can the Headset Jockie line handle the big nasty offensive line of Big 12 enough to stop Mr. Moore?
Prediction: 21-14 Big 12

#12 Northeast Storm (2-6) vs. #14 Greensboro Tsunami (1-7)
The Storm of Northeast desperately need a win in this game if they have any hopes of making a late season playoff run. It is extremely unlikely they make the playoffs, but if they drop this game it's pretty much a guarentee they won't. For Greensboro, they need to prove to themselves that they can at least compete in the bottom half of the conference. The battle for this game will be found through the air. Both teams like to throw and neither team has a strong rushing attack. Greensboro has the superior skill players on offense and both teams have average secondaries. The team that manages the more successful rushing attack may prove the victors in this game.

Key matchup: Raul Manning vs. Sophocles Jones. Which team's QB can lead their team to victory. Hard to go against Raul in this matchup, but Northeast will make it tough.
Prediction: 24-20 Greensboro

#11 Whitchurch Mouseketeers (2-6) vs. #3 Florida LightningBolts (6-2)
Whitchurch finally proved they have the ability to beat a decent team by knocking off Charm City last week. This week they go up against one of the best teams in the conference. This could end up being a more intriguing matchup than the records and rankings show. Florida runs the ball more than any other team in the Eastern conference. Whitchurch also has one of the deepest defensive lines in the conference. It will be interesting to see if the explosiveness of the LightingBolts can overcome the depth of the Mouseketeers defensive front. The bad news for Whitchurch is that Florida will find a way to score and the Mouseketeers have no depth offensively. That is going to be what keeps them from beating a premier team in Florida.

Key matchup: Whitchurch's offense vs. their own stamina. Can the offense put up points early before they run out of energy, or will they get blanked by a stingy Florida defense?
Prediction: 17-3 Florida

#10 Indianapolis Warlords (4-4) vs. #13 Bay Area Wolfpack (1-7)
The Warlords are bringing in their conference leading 238 passing yds/game into this game against the Wolfpack. Bay Area has struggled this season.. and that's about the extent of their story. They beat arguably the conferences worst team in Tampa the first week and it has been downhill from there.. and by downhill I mean a free fall. Bay Area has the talent to beat Indianapolis, but are going to have to limit the big plays they give up to the Warlords. Bay Area has a pretty effecient QB in Ace Rocket, who doesn't turn the ball over very often. My gut is telling me to pick the upset here, but my brain is telling me it won't happen. The Warlords have proved themselves, Bay Area hasn't.. the trend should continue.

Key matchup: Ace Rocket vs. the Warlord defense. Can Ace continue to take care of the ball? A turnover could be the difference in a win or loss this game.
Prediction: 23-17 Indianapolis

#6 NewDawn Thrashing Badgers (5-2-1) vs. #9 Pittsburgh Deatons (4-4)
NewDawn plays host to the Deaton in a matchup that has huge playoff implications. For the Deatons it could mean being the 'bubble' team. For NewDawn it may mean the difference in homefield advantage during the first round. Both teams are coming off solid wins and seem to be equally coached. Pittsburgh recently moved their most dangerous playmaker Fast Willie into a more focused role as a true halfback. They had been using him as a receiving threat a lot earlier in the season, but the switch proved successful last week in their win against Indianpolis. NewDawn's Smoke Vandermann leads the East in passing yards with 1358 for the Thrashing Badgers. The Thrashing Badgers have the conference's most effecient passing attack netting a 63% completion percentage. Neither teams has glaring weaknesses and it should be a fun match to watch. A low score benefits the Deatons in this game.

Key matchup: Fast Willie vs. NewDawn front 7. Can Fast Willie adapt to a role that will use him as the feature back and force him into more carries than he's used to?
Prediction: 17-14 Pittsburgh

#5 Virginia Wolverines vs. #1 Birmingham Bombers ((Game of the week))
The Bombers carry their undefeated streak into Virginia to face a very tough Wolverine team. This game will be a battle from start to finish and the Wolverines are more than capable of knocking off the Bombers. Virginia has a strong running game and will look to try and limit Birmingham possessions by establishing drives and controling the game. The Birmingham defense will have to keep Simon Tipp in check unless they want to give themselves a game full of headaches. Virginia has a strong team with a lot of depth and quality playmakers. It will be a great test for the Bombers, but Birmingham will find a way to pull it out in a close one.

Key matchup: Simon Tipp vs. Birmingham's LB core. Can the Bombers limit Mr. Tipp's success on the ground?
Prediction: 20-14 Birmingham

#2 Ludlow Lions vs. #7 Denver Stallions
The hottest team in the East plays host to the Stallions of Denver this week. Two very different styles will face off in a great matchup. Denver will want the game to be a 20+ point affair, while Ludlow is going to favor a low scoring grind-it-out type of game. The team that can force their style of play will ultimately be successful. Denver uses a very balanced attack offensively. They don't really favor the pass or run and use both to play to their opponents weaknesses. The Ludlow defense has shown the ability to shutdown capable offenses and only allow 12pts/game. However, their secondary has shown vunerability by giving up a conference leading 214 passing yds/game. It hasn't cost them so far, but Denver might be able to exploit it.. if they have the ball enough.

Key matchup: Ludlow's secondary vs. E-roc Dizzle and Chocolate Undies. Can Ludlow limit the yards they allow through the air?
Prediction: Ludlow 17-13

#16 Lake Erie Menace vs. #15 Tampa Tiger Sharks
The final game is the uneventful matchup for the #16 spot in the conference. Tampa has shown some definite tenacity in making their run for the pits of the conference. Lake Erie is trying to turn things around, but they currently occupy the #16 spot. Can Tampa knock them off and start their climb out of the pit, or will their tenacity for failure take over and allow them to reach #16? Only time will tell.. the coin flip says Lake Erie takes this one.. but it's not going to be a pretty game.

Key matchup: The heads side of my coin vs. the tails.. the heads side won.
Prediction: 21-20 Lake Erie

New Power Rankings will be out next week.
