I haven't experience any problems loading plays. In fact when watching an entire game, each play loads very quickly (maybe quicker than the current game.)

It would be nice to have free kicks, but a kickoff is more like a free kick than a punt is so it shouldn't be changed. At least it is from the 20-yard line in this replay. I'm sure it's been noted that the ball is missing on the field and that some of them are offside when the ball is kicked.

No, I'd like to see them get rid of blocking in the back too. I don't think I've noticed that yet though.

You're kind of mixing GLB1 thinking with a GLB2 concept here.
There are roster minimums. So you couldn't sign just 22 Superstars or whatever.
If you max out your roster as much as possible with a bare bones roster and superstars the rest, you will likely lose b/c of stamina issues, and the potential chemistry issues if you lowball the rest of your roster.
The extra SPs right now are not locked in, theyr'e a starting point, the first alpha season will dictate what the Admins finally settle upon. I have faith they'll find a happy point. Theyr'e already talking of changing the SP bonus as well as increasing cost, or setting hard cap on superstars per team.
This game right now is Alpha, things can and will change.
An all OLine SS line would be possible right now w/out a massive hit to the team I think..you'd need 5 different agents though,
, b/c each agent only gets 1 SS at each tier, including 50 flex where OL are located.
