I got a TV item with no other stats. Is this rare or common for a DE?

Edit: quick question for Mike, what is considered an acceptable tackling level after vision + speed + agility has been put to their respective caps? Are we looking at roughly 30 tackling?

I've got around 30-35 tackling and I havn't had any issues since I pla wrap-up. It really only becomes an issue in the run game where a Power RB rarely breaks a tackle on me.

My level 33 has 37 in tackling and I play on power. Havnt had a problem with missed tackles and we've played some really good teams.

How much stamina does Julius Dee have now, Mike?
Do you still invest any SP or training points in Stamina at this level, or the amount of stamina should be good with auto leveling?

How about Confidence, a no-touchy as well?

Just a quick summary, correct me if I'm wrong please:

Speed -> 68
Agility -> 68
Vision -> 49
Tunnel Vision -> Max
Strength no touchy
Tackling just keep training after all the above are done.
No SA's until Speed/Agility - 60, Vision 50.
Mainly Slow Build, Boost at the end of every season

This is my DE I just created:

May want to put your EQ into stamina for now so you can get in more plays for more XP.

An advanced equipment in tunnel vision can eventually get you a 15 in the TV SA!

There are dimnishing returns after 10 anyways on SA's

Question!
I got enough points to softcap speed, save or spend?

If you are training speed, save. If you are training something else, go ahead and spend. You have 18.5 speed right now, so if you spent you'd get it up to 48.5 which is the exact same thing as next level getting it up from 19 to 49 because you wouldn't have entered the 2:1 territory yet at 47.5 or 48.

What I would do, is train speed until right before you get to level 6. That way you can minimize the amount of SPs you need to put into speed to soft cap it and save the other SPs for other things.

Bort's gonna try to nerf the top speedrushing DE's (you perhaps mike? ) from having ridiculous sack numbers, still worth sticking to it?

Nerfing from ridiculous sack numbers doesn't mean he still wont be very productive.

It just means Bort doesn't want 100 sack seasons.

I foresee Bort making strength a handcuff to agility or making a different AI tactic for O linemen to abuse low strength linemen. Don't take this as naysaying it just seems the obvious move.

I assume he'll cap it when he can get to 49 with his SPs.

That would be the plan under the old training system. With the new one, I'm going to be waiting a little longer. The plan right now is to train speed+stamina until stamina gets to almost 20, then speed+agility until speed is about 30, then agiity + vision until agility is about 35.

I'll be taking speed up to 68 before putting points into agility, then agility up to 68 before putting points into vision. Once I soft cap vision, I'll move back to training stamina and some tackling while using SPs to max tunnel vision.

So you ended up boosting the Speed a bit earlier I see....up to 60 without equipment? I was wondering how that would go because I'm training my level 5 slow build using your exact plan and it seems like the Intense Training will take forever to make an appreciable impact.

Also I think I had a lower roll on Speed than you did. I just hit 18 on Speed this morning via training.

Well at least someone's paying attention. My initial roll for Junior was 20 speed. I did end up spending the 45 SP to boost up to 60 speed. I've been having laptop trouble and have been unable to reply to any posts or PMs I've received in the last week or so. Hopefully tomorrow I'll go pick up a new laptop and reply to everyone and post my thoughts on Bort's post about nerfing speed DEs.

Asked & Answered

Question - I rolled about a 16 on speed. I've been training it and it is 19, almost 20. I still have 25 skill ponts + another 5 levels (including boosts) which will bring it up to 50 skill points. I'm not boosting until the end of the season so my speed should easily be 20 by the time I boost. Should I bring my speed to the second cap, or should I put speed to the softcap as well as agility?

I also have custom equipment which is why it is at 25 speed.

Oh and do you got any tips on how to slowbuild with the new training system? Just go speed/agi or speed/stam?

Speed + Stamina should be first. Get stamina roughly to 20, then boost speed, then move on to Agility + vision or agility + speed. It all depends on what you want to go first. If you want to bring speed to the second cap before vision, then go agility + speed after speed + stamina.

Edit: quick question for Mike, what is considered an acceptable tackling level after vision + speed + agility has been put to their respective caps? Are we looking at roughly 30 tackling?

35ish is fine for level mid to low level 30s. Play on wrap up.
