There are career achievements necessary to hit before unlocking superstars. I don't see multi being anymore of an issue than it is now

That may be the path some choose, but to say that it's for sure going to be a standard setup... I'm not sure I agree.

Team identities are going to control it.

I'm gunna get 3 SS Oline with medium contracts and 2 or 3 average HBs with high contracts. Give them that heart

I don't think you understand what's really going on and wrote way too much on something that seems even worse than the current superstar standard.

You can't have a team full of superstars and I honestly feel like this is being overblown a little too much.

IMO, they just want to recapture the X-factor without the randomness...

which is why my idea had it "unlocked" by plateauing X number of players, and it didnt unlock again until you plateaued X more.

So if you platted X dots you get ONE super star for his career. No more after he retires. until you platt X more then you get one more, etc.

A lot of people with only a little information is a dangerous thing.

The speculation I've seen in this thread is almost completely unwarranted. I've been playing the game, and besides fixing some bugs and some graphical issues, the basic concepts of the game are very well thought out and I'm excited to start the testing season tomorrow.

Since we are working with day 0 dots right now, the building process and the sim development are like trying to judge GLB1 by watching Pee Wee. On the other hand, at least the toons in 2.0 don't suffer from "I don't know what I'm doing fever" like in PW.

The salary cap seems like a solid deterrent to having 8 superstars all on the same team. You would pretty much need to cut your roster down to 30 in order to get a ton of superstars on the same team and that would make your team one dimensional, energy deficient, and exploitable. If not, Bort has suggested that there be a cap on superstars per team or to make them even more expensive.

And while my Superstar Powerback usually ends up with OMVP in my games, that is also because I built a run first team. He isn't out there breaking a ton of tackles (because tackles seem impossibly easy to make with day 0 dots), he just happens to have that extra bit of juice in the tank.

Anyway, things look good over there and we are working our best to try and make sure that when you all join us in Beta that the game is ready for you.
