That would be the plan under the old training system. With the new one, I'm going to be waiting a little longer. The plan right now is to train speed+stamina until stamina gets to almost 20, then speed+agility until speed is about 30, then agiity + vision until agility is about 35.

I'll be taking speed up to 68 before putting points into agility, then agility up to 68 before putting points into vision. Once I soft cap vision, I'll move back to training stamina and some tackling while using SPs to max tunnel vision.

You and I are following almost the same exact plan except I haven't decided if speed will come before agility.

miked33,

Here is my current level 24 build at DE:

Strength: 52.14
Speed: 51.14
Tackling: 35.14
Agility: 75.14
Stamina: 33.03
Vision: 26.8
Confidence: 26

11110
54451

I have a full set of equipment for both Agility and Speed that I can switch back and forth. Obviously I currently have all equipment in AG and based on your setup I would move all that to speed, leaving me at roughly 73 Speed and 53 Agility.

Where would you go from there in turning him into a monster speed build? Put SA's into getting Speed to the next cap and train Vision perhaps?

I had been experimenting back and forth between all Speed and all Agility by moving equipment around on my build. I have had some limited success going either way but have not really stuck with either style long enough to see where it would go.

Much thanks!

Yeah, I'd train on vision while dumping points into both speed and agility until they hit at least 60. After that, I'd get agility to the first cap and max tunnel vision.

Tunnel vision always has been and probably always will be more important than vision. For short term production, pumping points into tunnel vision is probably the single best thing a DE could do with their points. It's more efficient to cap all your attributes first though, because of the automatic level up bonuses.

That's a lot of defferred gratification. I see more and more players being built to really become players in their 4th or even 5th season...makes me wonder what they will do until then?

Got the same question. Won't it be a problem to find a human team with this kind of slow building after being lvl 7 ?

How many slow build team do you think there is ? (Real question, no provocation ) I'm interested in following this guide, but I don't want to be disappointed in a few weeks or months if I can't find a human team.

My team has a DE slot open. We only have 3 of them, so we've been running the 3-4 with DTs playing LDE and our DEs playing RDE. If we'd get a 4th DE, I'd move us to the 4-3 again. We had 4 DEs, but one of them decided he wanted to have 30 STR/SPD/AGI, and I cut him.

Oh and do you got any tips on how to slowbuild with the new training system? Just go speed/agi or speed/stam?

Speed + Stamina should be first. Get stamina roughly to 20, then boost speed, then move on to Agility + vision or agility + speed. It all depends on what you want to go first. If you want to bring speed to the second cap before vision, then go agility + speed after speed + stamina.

Edit: quick question for Mike, what is considered an acceptable tackling level after vision + speed + agility has been put to their respective caps? Are we looking at roughly 30 tackling?

I've got around 30-35 tackling and I havn't had any issues since I pla wrap-up. It really only becomes an issue in the run game where a Power RB rarely breaks a tackle on me.
