14) Sectional Seating Customization

Design each section so that they are customizable, in regards to the type of seating. This would require the Owner/GM to have a more detailed plan and base construction on the type of support from each income tier.

100 Bowl Home Sideline Seating

Max Seating: 6,500

Normal Seating Max: 6,500
Club Seating Max: 500
Suite Seating Max: 200

200 Bowl Home Sideline Seating

Max Seating: 5,000

Normal Seating Max: 5,000
Club Seating Max: 1,000
Suite Seating Max: 500

300 Bowl Home Sideline Seating

Max Seating: 8,500

Normal Seating Max: 8,500
Club Seating Max: 2,000
Suite Seating Max: 1,250

Each section would have a maximum capacity seating number. That number could be any combination of the three types of seating offered; Normal, Club & Suite.

There needs to be a max ratio or something like that. For example, there are a certain number of spots to fill (instead of seats). For the sake of simplicity, 100 Home Sideline Seating has a max of 7,000 spots. Normal seating takes up only 1 spot for each seat (i.e. a 1:1 ratio). Club Seating takes up 2 spots for every seat (i.e. a 3:1 ratio). And Suite seating takes up 5 spots for every seat.

Perhaps the ratios could even change per section. Whereas 100 Seating is a 3:1 ratio for Club Seating, in 200, it is a 2:1 ratio, but in 300, it is a 6:1 ratio.

Also, there could be other forms of seating that you could add. For example, a press box (i.e. brings in money from the media) would take up 1,000 spots, but it also provides a boost in confidence and moral for your team. And, it still brings in money (this would be even more dependent on how your team is doing and the fan support since people don't want to watch a team who is not doing well).

Other seating options could include:
-Medical...........500 spots, does not bring in nearly as much revenue, but help prevent injury and helps them heal quicker. Also, it could affect player performance by giving them more confidence that they will not get injured on a play.
-Maintenance...........300 spots, reduces the cost of maintenance for the stadium, but brings in less money per spot
-Cheerleading section...........400 spots, Increases fan moral so that they are willing to pay more money (even more than if they have 100/100/100 fan support), but also does not bring in much money at all for the section
-Video Screen.......200 spots, basically does the same as the Cheerleading section, but does not work as well (but, both this section and the cheerleading section can combine to allow even higher prices than having each section individually)


Those are just some basic ideas that could be implemented. I'm sure there is even more that could be added. You could also have things like adding more concessions and such.

I really like pretty much everything in the OP. Not sure if ALL of it could be implemented, but some of it definitely needs to be.

What are we saying maximum capacity should be? We could have a few like the Estadio Azteca or the Maracana and seat over 100,000 people.

I think that it would be cool to have the Customizable Stadiums. Bort and Co could then determine what the max capacity for each stadium type would be (max capacity would be the normal seats throughout the stadium).

It would have to be well defined though.

I think being able to seat 100,000 people should be an extreme circumstance. According to this list:

There's only 4 football stadiums in the world that can seat over 100,000 (Interestingly enough, all 4 are college football stadiums. Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and Tennessee). There's also 3 soccer stadiums and 5 multi-use stadiums, but pretty much anything else over 100,000 seating capacity are all racetracks that are much, much larger then football fields.

Maybe having the ability to seat that many, either in terms of having level 400 sections, or perhaps corners and endzones for level 300, should be an incredibly expensive addition to the stadium that teams would have to save up for a few seasons just to buy it. Or perhaps some sort of penalty in terms of fan support or fan "happiness" since they'd all be crammed in there like sardines

P.S. We're starting to have some discussions about stadium upgrades/revenue on the test server forums, and I linked everyone to this topic.

Can you link your discussions about the stadium upgrades/revenues?

The conversation kinda got derailed a bit when a few bugs popped up in the preseason, as well as the discussion on the DE/OT interactions. I definitely feel like it will be visited this season, though.

This is getting rediculous.
6 months and 21 pages and still nothing being done about the GLB economy.

All of these elaborate fixes and yet the fix is so simple.....Raise the prices teams can charge for tickets or lower the cost of equipment.

I know that Bort is working hard (hopefully) to improve other aspects of the game. Lets just hope that other Epic suggestions (including this one) get looked at and at very least responded to with an "Yea" or "Na".
