My RQB can actually put the ball up pretty well. Scrambling works about half the time... the other half the QB runs into the DE just like in GLB:TOS.

I'm sure there is a rookie pass buff in place.. Should only take u guys about 20-25 seasons to work out the kinks

The replays.

Ugh.

First of all, if you're gonna use real-looking players instead of dots... the players need to be smaller. They're too big right now (five yards long when they're laying on the ground!) and it makes for a VERY cluttered screen. It's nearly impossible at times to figure out what's going on, especially if there's a lot of players crowded together in the same area.

(Kudos to whoever first posted this image about 20 pages back.) Notice how much smaller the players are, relative to the field. Looks a lot less cluttered, right? MUCH easier to see what's going on and how everyone is interacting.

I don't necessarily mind the 8-Bit look of the players... just understand that for those of us who've been playing GLB 1.0, these graphics look too old-school to be viewed as an upgrade over dots. Newbies will like being able to see players running around, but that's it, and that novelty will wear off fast.

Give us a "dot-view" option. Make it an option. I can see why new players to the game might prefer seeing little dudes running around, but us GLB 1.0 vets are all used to dots. They worked perfectly well for 36 seasons, and there's nothing wrong with them.

graphics upgrade of GLB 2.0 is laughable

I hope they did more than "upgrade" the graphics. I'll tell you one thing though, I'm not paying to test another game for Bort. He already took my money once and then gave up on this product.

Seems to me the "men" shaped dots will show us more about what the players are doing, but yeah they need to be resized.

Although I prefer dots it would be interesting to see what the community came up with if they scaled the players properly and made them easy to mod (upload your own sprites type of thing).

Couldn't agree more. Unless the graphics are actually going to be good, what's the point of getting rid of the dots? A more detailed dot replay would have been a better way to spend all the time that went into graphics.

this is a valid point. but i think all the "superstar" aspect does is give your guy a few more SP and some extra abilities. im sure people can still screw them up. and im sure you can still make a "regular" player that has the right comination of attributes to excel

if "regular" players are going to be perpetually average, i will be building a LOT less players tbh

Regular players would still be a necessity, at least from the salary cap things I've seen. You can't physically afford a team of superstar guys from a salary cap perspective.

Also, you need to accomplish 'career experience tiers' in order to get a superstar player. Meaning you have to make regular dots in order to get more superstar dots.

Now tell us how you really feel

Yea, I have pretty much stopped paying attention to the new GLB for a while, as I am sure this cannot be close to what they will put out (hopefully). Back to GLB Post Beta 1
