Thats why you need to have more options on flex return so you can lower the upfront cost. It would let somebody spend the 10k (or whatev it is) on an entire roster but still allow for the "trickle" of users who don't have the budget for all that.

And don't believe those who say they want to buy a cheeseburger for $10 today with the promise of another later on rather than get a $5 cheeseburger & have the option to buy another $5 cheeseburger later (or not). Its illogical and they won't riot logically.

This refusing to admit that CPU dots and/or teams should be made viable at this stage in GLB's life baffles me.

That shouldn't be baffling at all either from a business or a customer side.

It doesn't work in a system where you can either have my noob like built qb with 120 throwing or Bolicks 165 throwing qb built perfect for passing.

Well, that, and it's an awful concept for a player builder.

Spend an hour putting together a build, then spend a year watching it do the same thing over and over? Plateau is pretty much hands down the most boring time for players. The there's also the price...even if it is 50% of what it currently is, are you really going to want to spend 30 dollars upfront for the greatly diminished enjoyment?

I thought CPUs were unstoppable godlike beings.

The thing is, the people spending the 10 dollars today for a cheeseburger tomorrow are likely to show up again tomorrow.

According to some.

There have been certain exploits/bugs that made a few teams (out of like 1000) OP'd but not generally speaking.

Ya the player building part really takes a hit. Granted those mid levels already cause a similar frustration. Especially around level 56 because it is like you are almost there but your player is still a pos.

So what are you saying? Seeing the builds you draft is worse than not seeing them? Why is that?

And obfuscating would be done by the game itself. You'd need an obfuscation grade something like this....

A+++ = 150+
A++ = 125-149
A+ = 100-124
A = 85-99
B = 70-84
C = 55-69
D = 40-54
F = 39>

Obv AEQ throws a wrench into things, otherwise you could just do natural skills.

But keep in mind...you would not be (presumably) drafting anybody's best player, you'd be drafting the back end of the roster they were let go from. Now, they may be the best player some noob team has ever seen but so what? Thats the point of a draft, to give the crap teams an opportunity to get a little better. Keep in mind you can mandate 1 ssn contracts so it isn't necessarily permanent. I mean theoretically you can do whatev you want in this hypothetical as it would change things up so dramatically you'd want to debate a lot of little details about it.

I've always been a fan of competent CPU teams. tbh

I think the idea of getting worked up because you lost to a CPU team is silly. People play a lot of games, MMOs included, and people lose to NPCs all the time. Guilds wipe all the time against bosses in WoW.

Thats a true consideration from GLB's perspective but I was referring to the backlash of people who think they would prefer the former.

Another option is to increase the % discount as you go up higher (while also reducing the recycling rate). Whatever point that becomes (almost) a wash. At least you'd still encourage bigger investment while not preventing users from trying things out.

As long as you can see builds you are going to draft the best build possible. Masking your attributes for the sake of hiding from the noobs is only giving all the power to networks and collusion. No use trying to debate that. Unless you are suggesting to me you recruit randomly by performance right now.

Its because GLB CPUs dont have viewable skills & cool names.

I'm fine with the idea of opening the builds. But keep in mind, the concept (at least that I stated) is literally the dots you don't want already. You would have little incentive to collude in something like that unless you were doing it just to be an ass to people. And if thats what you wanted to do, theres nothing stopping people from doing that right now by screwing with their tactics or EQ, etc.

Even back in like Season 9, I argued for stronger CPUs.

I think they should be better than about 20-30% of human teams, rather than being 10% worse than the worst human team. Don't like losing to CPU? Get better scrub.
