I never said low EL dots could not perform.
That is not the problem , the problem is the over emphasis on it.

Building dots should give you that RPG feel not this bullshit of MUST build dot on day X boost on day X do not assign SA until day X to maximize your cpu generated EL equation.

Boring and predictable.

Or give 100% flex recycling on them.

I'd pay $15-20 a month to be able to make my own team full of players. Maybe you pay on a scale: $10 a month for 20 players or 10 players and a team, $15 a month for 40 players or 30 players and a team, $20 a month for 60 players or 55 players and a team. The numbers could be adjusted.

What would be the negative? I doubt that every user is averaging $15-20 a month spent on GLB. More money, more users, more players and teams.

I think that most people these days don't want a ton of players.
Too much work. But that's my opinion.
It might be a decent option to choose from, but definitely wouldn't work for me as I'm trying to scale back.

What if there were a league where nobody could coordinate and everyone used the same basic AI?
What if those dots were created solely for that league and would have to be drafted by a team?
What if that team actually had to use money to build their teams through free agency and player signings?

Just stoopid ideas that still wouldn't fix the problem.

lol that is a lot more of a price cut than halving or even 1/3 the cost of flex right now.

You have to keep in mind that most of us bought a ton of flex during the Black Friday sale in 2008 and have either been recycling that flex or buying a small package a few times a year since. GLB's pricing structure has been a blessing and a curse for them, I can imagine.

how the hell big do you think the browser based football simulation rpg market is?

Reminds me of back in the early 90s when everyone lol'd at fantasy football and questioned just how many people were nerdy enough to participate in such stupid shit.

Obviously we were right and no one bothers with FF.

Not sure what that has to do with taking what SteveMax was saying and completely going as far as giving away 55 players a season for $20.

I agree with Dubs. I mean GLB basically swallowed up a bunch of football forums back in s1-2, but the lack of ability to market to mainstream fantasy football people is missing a HUGE number of users. (I know thats not was Dub said, but it follows the path)

I'd have a mess more dots if I had the disposable income. Just hits hard spending almost a year building a team to lose an Agent to a heart attack or get run over by a car.

I'll tell you the basic issue with the game, it's actually two games. One for character builders and one for tactic/strategy fans. Neither category of gamer really cares much about the other, but are forced into it, so when the smallest thing tics em off, they go elsewhere.

Probably not $20/month but if it costs approx 383k in flex to field a typical 55 player roster, and it takes 8 seasons and 30 boosts to get to L79, then that equates to 27k flex per month or roughly a Champion flex pack per month (could probably do a starter pack every 3 or 4 months instead). Thats about $130/month average based on current flex prices with no additional discounts.

But if you took the approach I described & applied it to the monthly model (assuming no further discount like you'd get with a HoF pack)...it would come out to about $46/month to field a team to plateau. You'd get nothing back at the end of the 14 months (or more likely longer) but you'd have a much more manageable price point for people who want to have a full team without the upfront investment.
