Network Discussions is the topic, not Dub J, so please stay civil and no accusations/attacks against individual users, thanks.

Actually I do. The complexity is probably the biggest reason why anyone is still playing this game five years later. We're all trying to master building better than we did on our last dots.

If every dot you made was the best possible dot you could make you would have no reason to make another.

You'd still be trying to make better dots as in allocate your resources more efficiently for more production. Just because ALG's don't exist in their current form =/= every dot made is the best possible dot.

For the most part I now make dots using the same building method at this point (same training, enhancements, just pump different things to different levels). This doesn't mean every dot I've made is anything close to "the best possible dot".

the attribute system is far from being deep enough and the sim is far from being entertaining enough for what you are trying to suggest

Hood Jelly did the same. So did Tomicic.

Tomicic pretty classy

Like how he PM'd me the day before our game and said they had thrown in the towel and had no DC. Just out of the blue, asking if my FB would stay on the team in pro. Obviously I didn't do anything for the game after the pm. Then he went and dropped a mini helmet and loaded a new AI, after they won he posted about it must have been that new D with some smiley faces.

Do w/e it takes to keep your team from demoting I guess.

Stay Classy Miami

Yup. WiSeIVIaN, please stop disrupting my thread with not only irrelevant gibberish that has nothing to do with networks, but irrelevant gibberish that has nothing to do with networks and isn't even correct.

To keep it in the theme of the topic, Network teams outside of Dodel don't do that. Stand alones do.

That is my broad stereotype I just laid down.

Do you need an official ruling from the Arbiter of Integrity?

Many people talk about making the building process more intuitive or trying to attract a broader base of users. I have been listening to Timothy Ferriss talking about business, marketing and analytics and basically what he is saying is that 20% of your customers provide 80% of your income, but then 20% also provide 80% of your headaches. He advises business to actually cater to that upper 20%, often by pricing many of their customers out. Many businesses have had great success employing these strategies. They drive away more casual customers, but the diehard customers are willing to pay so much that they make more money. This seems to be exactly what GLB did right from the beginning. This thread http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=5053993 would seem to indicate that this strategy has been pretty effective in my opinion.

In light of the accusations made and the fact that a mini-helmet was indeed used, I rule that Tomcic displayed a lack of integrity by engaging in subterfuge and deception. Had the PM been genuine only to be later rendered misleading due to a change in circumstances, Tomcic could have and should have notified JT that Miami would be making an effort to win. By presenting the idea that they wouldn't, clearly the intention was to have Portland not make changes to their own AI and thus to win through perfidy. This breach of integrity is certainly not on the same level as King of Bling removing his players' equipment to try to make my team lose to his own, but it is concerning. Given that Tomcic has shown signs of being a gentlemen, I offer this rebuke to dissuade him from the path of the dissembler and encourage him to act with integrity in future World League seasons. The Arbiter has spoken.
