Definately need this, as other games I've played have a "vacation mode" of sorts like this. Don't be a communist, Bort; support our troops!

you'd probably have to have a reason to freeze the account.

if this happens for it to freeze you have to say why you do it

I like this suggestion because I will leaving deployed soon and I believe to stop people from cheating to freeze their accounts for cap reasons you need to provide a valid military email account such as AKO because on there is shows your military status.

Proof of deployment is easy to get and supply to Bort, DD, or any admin that is appropriate. You can provide a copy of your orders. If your deployed location is sensitive or otherwise, you can simply provide a proof of service letter. both of these options are easily accessible and can be sent in via e-mail or an attachment on a support request (if available).

There is precedent for such an option. I've played MMO games that allowed me to freeze my account while deployed, preventing my account from going inactive and being deleted and keeping me from paying a monthly fee to keep it active. Credit card companies put accounts on hold for deployed members. I don't see why this would be such a "ridiculous" suggestion to those that disagree. If you don't need it, it doesn't affect you.

think this is a great idea, but I didn't read much of it after the first couple of pages. I checked all the pages, and found NO BORT, wonder why.... Oh, wait it would cost him money for the server space. It's a business, not a game to him.
