Take it from a bucs fan, Simms isnt exactly an answer for backup. Grant it, he is better than johnson and bollinger, but i dont think things would be better. Simms arm motion is very slow, he has an unusual number of balls batted down, and I think he is still very skiddish from the spleen injury 2 years ago. One thing that wouldve helped him with dallas though, is he can throw a good deep ball. Something Johnson hasnt done since the 70's.

Simms couldnt win a big game at UT to save his life. Hell, when he was drafted, the coach didnt want him. Gruden never said a good thing about Simms the whole time he was here. I think he is the third string in Tennessee now. Cut and re-signed again by them.

Exactly! Johnsons dink and dunks and piss poor accuracy was painful to watch. We really put our eggs in one basket with Romo which is just a pathetic gamble. Not high on Simm's myself, but really he would have been an upgrade over the other two ass clowns.
