Then the CPU override (which I have set really low) took over and made us pass the rest of the game. Sweet. Just Sweet.

interesting

if you dont mind let me ask you, what was your run/pass ratio set to? and what was your cpu override set to?

based on the pbp i would guess your run/pass was set to 75/25 and if it was lower than that your cpu override would have to be at 70 or more

i ask because even down by 14 the cpu should NOT have instantly turned you pass happy. you had plenty of time to come back

and its not like you have shit for a running game, you have two mediocre but serviceable backs behind a pretty good FB and a pretty strong OL. you definitely should have been able to produce some sustained drives by running against a good DL but mediocre LBs

but you lost the game primarily because Rip threw four picks. and it looks to me like their defense was playing the pass. so either you or the cpu played a dangerous game passing right into their pass oriented defense when running the ball could have produced some safer sustained drives

so if you did not have a big imbalance set in the run/pass ratio and the cpu forced you into that i am suddenly very concerned about allowing the cpu to take over my gameplans at all

Pass/Run was set to 60/40 pass/run. CPU override set to 20. WTF.

Also, 3 of 4 picks came in the 4th quarter after game was already over and Rip was exhausted. The first pick came on a tipped ball.

ive heard that too

weve been doing pretty well but still are racheting down that setting as we go along. hasnt hurt us at all so far. the only game we lost was really because we got too smart for ourselves and went away from our bread and butter. no offense to the marauders but we probably could have avoided that if we didnt try to get too fancy

but we are looking to eliminate that cpu override here shortly

I do the same thing. I figure if others are letting the computer take over their game plans then I'll let the computer take over mine. It can beat itself up.

worst.

liars.

ever.

wow. yeah that shouldnt have been a problem. i dont get that at all. because you sure were WAAY over 60% passing right from the get go. you sure you didnt fat finger a setting? cuz i agree thats some fcuked up shit right there

well yeah ok so maybe the ints werent the primary reason for the loss. but the inability to sustain drives, lots of three or six and outs, set up the dogs to stretch their lead

idk what happened but throwing repeatedly into the teeth of a d that looked like it was expecting it sure was likely to lead to disaster

It was 60/40 when I checked after the game.

If they were looking pass, kudos to them but I highly doubt it since we've never shown ourselves to be a pass happy team.

well the few replays i watched it looked like they were playing a lot of zone and few blitzes. it wasnt a big sample of the game so maybe i just hit on the plays that looked that way

its too bad though because your line is good enough to sustain a few drives on the ground. thats all you would have needed to pull even and have a better shot at winning. those 3-5 and outs killed you

Yup, I'm turning the CPU thing down to either 5 or 10.

I think I might me more pumped to see that Buffalo Rangers vs. Omaha Dogs tomorrow more then my own game. Good luck to both teams!

Edit: Oh man and Reno 911 against Albuquerque Mustangs. What a treat, two great games. I got my beers ready already.

yeah good luck dogs. should be a good game

im still basking in the glow of pounding the san fran guys so hard

ok that didnt come out right

but still, i have four guys on that team and three of them totally got off, err went off, err did well

QB Meatwards 24/30, 257 yds, 4 TD
HB Beastman 17/116, 2 TD
DE Handsome 53 yd INT TD ret

even my former starting WR Hallofamer had 4 catches, but also tipped a ball right into the hands of the FS for a pick, Meatwards only blemish on the day

but thats history now and there wont be many like that anymore. schedule really toughens next three

Good to know we finally broke the losing streak. I can stop whining for the time being.

Tough game against the Wolverines this time. We have a knack for beating teams we shouldn't and losing to teams we should beat.
