There is a story behind People's Elbow and his name...
When we first found him in the wild (after being raised by beavers since his childhood), we had him in a cage, and one of the hunters got too close and had his elbow knawed off. But that story is for another day.

Ok, on my lunchbreak right now.

Basically our team is composed of a bunch of disgruntled players who originally started out in Asia. Almost all of us got shafted by Asian teams by having our guys benched over some owners lvl 1 Players and were reduced to almost no playtime. So we decided to make a team and storm through Asia getting back at certain owners who called our builds crap. Well, we deleted those characters and remade them at the end of season 1, but unfortunately we were only able to get a canada team. They didn't release Southeast Asia at the time so we fought our way through Canada AA#4 undefeated (some of you played some of the teams there in scimmages like Vancouver Black Knights etc.) and it's actually a very competitive league, I have no doubt some of the top 50 teams in the game are from Canada AA#4. We luckily fund a team who wanted to swap places with us and they were in the Asian league. We jumped at the chance and were put into AAA#1

Since then, we've beaten some of the teams that shafted our players, some of those teams have been disbanded and others were regulated downwards. So we can't get revenge on them all. We play with a chip on our shoulder when we play in Asia because of the bad first experiences we had (ridng pine when you're lvl 8 to a lvl 1 really sucks ass).

That being said we accomplished our goal of winning Asia Pro and we'll probably dial back how involved we are into the game. Some of us have just started working from right out of college, some of us are back to school, another is getting married, and there's even one who seems to have never gotten off the short bus =). We'll still put up a fight and we won't take away from any of the other team's victories if they beat us; we just have more important things to do now.

For the record:

OC of the team is me while Tare is the DC, although everyone contributed in one way or another.

As for the sack increase, this is what really happened. Bort changed the coding twice. Early on he changed the coding of the defensive line in a way that they were overall somewhat ineffective. He realized that it was not what he intended so he tweaked a formula and they are at where they stand right now. The Red Warriors played our team and Tweety's team (who I consider the top two sacking teams in terms of DEs) during the downgrade to the defensive line. After Bort changed the coding back the Warriors didn't play against a top defensive line. So were DEs changed? Yes but it wasn't during playoffs, I believe it was during game 7 or game 8, I'd have to check the updates from Bort to figure it out and my lunch is only so long.

Our team uses regular season to test out certain fomations and certain builds (almost all our players have full sets of equipment in every attribute). BTW, jumping sucks for punters and kickers. Depending on what team we play we change all our equipment around.

We only have playoffs in mind really. We don't care how regular season goes as long as we get at least 8th seed and make it into the playoffs. At this current time, it's not that difficult to make playoffs in any league in the game (this'll change as more teams get regulated up and down).

Another reason for our future inactivity is because I'm overall unhappy with what Bort is doing with the game. I can't speak for the other players on my team with this matter but I've played tons of sims and have broken them down. It's hard to program a good sim, I'm not taking anything away from Bort, but I don't agree with a lot of what he's doing. He's changing coding around to have certain positions play a totally different way. It's in Beta, but we're paying for it. He won't even give out details on what the changes are. I wouldn't mind it if he gave back the points so we could all respec everytime a major change occurs, but nope, sorry, better luck with your next player. That being said, this game was a lot of fun when it first came out. I love football, I love sims, I love games in general. This particular sim has just been pretty frustrating for most of us on the team.

Even though I just met most of my teamates through this game, I'm very protective of them too, like a father figure. I make sure the younger ones scan me their grades and if they aren't passing, they don't get to play; regardless of how big of a grudge we have against asia, there's nothing important it about it over real life. But it's also frustrating to me that one of the members on my team is a kid and there was a guy harrassing him saying things like, "I'm going to rape your face" "I'm going to find out where you live and kill your parents" He's 14. Admins didn't do much about it. He's attempted to block but this guy keeps making different screen names to harrass him. So another one of my gripes is the fact that nothign is done about that.

Well, that's pretty much telling everyone who we are. As for the season. I think asia has some damn strong teams and can compete with any league. We have our cupcake teams but so does every league, even US pro. I think Seamen are a top notch team and there are many quality teams such as (and not limited to) Red Warriors, Hot Mamas, Tweety's, Pirates, Tire Fires, Mauaraders and Phuket. There will be even more teams moving up to make Asia pro very competitive.

Well, my lunch break is over. I'm out.

Appreciate the back story, dhc. Hope you guys don't dial back too much, it's the high quality competition that keeps this game interesting and fun!

Tackling fuel.

I quit even doing week to week stuff because it didn't seem like people were reading it and I got quite busy in RL. You guys took that stuff wrong, anyway. Predictions and rankings are all for fun and in the end the victory has to be sweeter when you weren't "projected" to win it all. Hell, I'm just a back-up lineman so what do I know anyway? I do think you might have missed my season in review thread where I came back and gave you props and I know you can't see our internal team forum, but I knew it was going to be you guys we faced in the championship game.

So ya GG bros...Man I don't understand why everyone even his own teammates hates Tare (and his DEs)...what haters! I know the guy in real life and sure he's an ass and all for taking the names I planned to used "People's Elbow" and "Rock Bottom". <3 you still. I doubt that anyone in SEA PRO was underestimating his DEs...I guess most of us took the whole DE "suspicious" comment a bit offensive considering Elbow finished the league with top sacks. But hey how about some love for the offense? My WR converted THREE 3rd down conversions after all. Not that I'm tooting my own horn but ya you probably wont find someone reeking as much awesomeness as the Spinster!

I can relate to the frustration of the tweaks, but I do have to say that we are all tweaked the same and though some of us get caught by the tweaks maybe harder than others because our builds may be slanted one way or the other trying to get some edge, over all this season has been fun.
The level of competition has increased, and I for one, hope you guys don't go away. The Pro league is just now getting good, with more strong teams.

Ho Chi Minh Vipers! That was a pretty fun squad, too bad they disbanded/bailed for USA so early. I still remember when you freaked out because Jayweezy traded for a level 10 CB right before the playoffs

Forgot to mention: WWAS is disbanding :'-(

Man I was a noob back then. 60 speed was unfuckingbelieveable in my mind. And the level difference between 6 and 10 seemed like a huge deal!

All year long I was planning on playing the Ho Chi Minh Vipers in the playoffs and then last second he added not only that CB, but a high level TE and high level MLB!

I can't believe we beat Ho Chi 7-0 tho... wow. Go back and watch that game again, Krak stopped Ho Chi inside our own 40 yard line like 5 times where they came away with no points! I guess Ho Chi is now the "JetNation Juggernaughts" but here is the game: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=8639

6:38 2nd & 6.5 OPP 21.5 Justin Wood rush [missed tackle: Dakota Andrade][forced fumble: Sventon Townsend], fumbled , recovered by Nug Tiger (0 yd return) [tackle: Eric Roy]

3:22 3rd & 6 OPP 38 Kill em Softly pass to 8cho 5inco up the left side intercepted by Keys Intercept (2 yd return) [tackle: Oronde Gadsden86]

1:56 2nd & 10 OPP 34.5 Kill em Softly pass to Tommy Hoang up the left side intercepted by Busta Snatch (1 yd return) [tackle: Tommy Hoang]

2:56 3rd & 4 OPP 29.5 Kill em Softly pass to Tommy Hoang up the left side intercepted by Joshua Howell (1 yd return) [tackle: Tommy Hoang]

2:20 2nd & 7 OPP 31.5 Dorian the Mandalorian pass to Logan Reavis over the middle[forced fumble: Tumble Weed], fumbled , recovered by Busta Snatch (-0 yd return) [tackle: Logan Reavis]
