Soft cap it?
Deal with the drops that come with it?
Plug speed and agility?

or

Keep plugging catching until you get a second or 3rd cap?
Build up vision, jumping.

If I'm going to have to drop a ton of points to improve my catch ratio by a catch or 2, I'm not sure that is worth it. Thoughts?

Option one. Soft cap catching after Speed and Agility. Then it's your choice on whether to increase secondary attributes like jumping, vision or strength. Increase the most effective SA's, or plug more into speed/agility.

It depends upon who you talk to. I say at least hit the 1st soft cap in catching, but others will tell you not to. Since I've soft capped catching I have not had a drop (only played 2 games though with it soft capped). There have been some incomplete and deflected passes though. I've had some juggling issues in some games. My WR will not be decent until I soft cap agility which is 2 levels away then 2nd cap some other abilities. I am hoping this will clear up some juggling issues also.

I look at it this way. If your WR can get open you want to make damn sure he catches the ball. Otherwise what is the point of getting open. I've seen too many passes that seemed like they should of been caught that were dropped. Those are the ones that piss you off because it could of been 6 points, but now it is a loss of down.

I switch off between training vision, jumping, stamina, & strength. I would not waste SP points on them. Carrying and confidence are unimportant if you build your player right in my opinion. Agility and Strength will add to carrying rating. Also, you should not need confidence if you never drop the ball.
