Also, let's compare where our teams are in season 6 as to which rebuild plan is more successful. For season 5, the Western Conference is brutal, I still don't see your team as a playoff team, I will stand by that.

How do you like us now? I'm eagerly awaiting the start of Season 6 when you can establish the superiority of your "quit and start over" approach. At this point, it's hard to believe our teams started a rebuild about the same time and that Corpus was in the worst possible situation as a 2 win franchise *prior* to being gutted. But the big difference was we never lost faith in our players or management, and kept at it even though we only won 3 games last season (2 of them in the final 3 games of the season - before that we were 1-12). Little piece of advice - can't never could.

Big ups to you guys on the turn around!

You stuck it to us, when I thought we'd just run over you.

Based totally on last seasons performance.

That's why we play them.

Very impressive start to your season. There's a good chance ya'll will make the playoffs. Looking forward to our scrimmage in Season 6.

The difference is when the team was transferred, there was money in the bank and a decent stadium build going already. I had to ask for the $1 million just to have something to work with. It's amazing what money lets you do.

It should be a given that I'm an excellent recruiter, but we're a pretty scrappy team already. We'll succeed because we know what we're doing, and Mr. can't see anything but failure's team will rebuild, again. Don't mean to be offensive just calling 'em like I see 'em.

maybe i need to refresh my screen or delete my cookies...but the game i see between you guys and the bears has a different score........24-21?

btw i love you guys....especially when we win by 29.

Well that was a nice, fat score but don't get too cocky in case we meet again. We played game 1 and at that time quite a few starters I had recruited during the offseason weren't yet on our team because they had release dates as late as day 4. So don't count on facing the same "light" version next game! Also the game referenced against the Bears above was while other teams were in the playoffs at the end of last season. They were a 5 win team and we were a 3 win team but at that time their average level was much higher. Both our teams made huge strides in the offseason and look to both be playoff teams this season. We played them a scrimmage rematch early this season and I regret that 1 of our starters still wasn't signed in time for that game. They won the rematch by 3 but only because we missed a last second 41 yard field goal that would have taken us to overtime. Overall the game was well played by both teams and both owners were proven wrong (we both had made claims that we would win by a large margin in the rematch).

mystikalilusion I like your reassesment! But to correct you on one point our financial situation was quite dismal when I took the team. We had probably less than the 1 million you said you started with (didn't know I could ask) and the stadium had hardly any work done. You have to remember the old owner struggled through a 1 win season then gutted the team in the middle (2/3 through) of his second season with only 2 wins. I immediately made the stadium and our finances a huge priority and also in general my average roster was much lower level than the league average before this season which kept costs down. I also made a nice net cash profit on the few trades I did. So our current situation (which is still only enough to scrape by very carefully) I take full credit for and give very little credit to the old owner! We have scrimped and saved to get where we are.

again, i'll give you full credit for where you guys are now, 5-1, very impressive. and good luck the rest of the season.

but i refuse to believe you took over the team with less than 1 million during season 4, were able to build up the stadium to where it's at now, and recruit in the offseason, and still get up to over 2 million in surplus? all in one offseason?

*coughs* whatever, that's impossible. . .

I was there! I was there! Props go out to MY Owner SLY! I want to Thank you for Buying the team and Moving us to this great City! When you took over it was more like $497,300 in working Capital. Everyone wanted off and then Came along this Owner! Saying ok everyone I will try and make the best of this team. and he DID! All I have to say is that I have the Backup QB on the team and I get great play time.

Peace! Out!

(blushing) thanks guys!

mystic as I stated above:

the team's first season (season 2) the old owner had 1 win
the team's second season (season 3) the old owner had 2 wins and gutted the team 2/3 through the season
I took over the team 2/3 through season 3, so we've had 2 off seasons - we lost our few games season 3 after I took over
season 4 we had 3 wins, 2 of which came in the final 3 regular season games
season 5 we are looking good!

The Tighas roster is about halfway complete and we're ready to break that 25 game losing streak and compete for a playoff spot (and hopefully more) in Season 6.

Understand the rivalry position, but here's a few reasons I think we'll win it all and it won't be luck:

1) Unstoppable hookup of Cowboy Hero to Jimmy Tea.
2) DE QWERT POI
3) Best CB's in the league led by McVey and Pass.
4) Overall best defense in the league.
5) Overall most dangerous offense in the league.
6) Most experienced management in the league, at least in terms of proven Championships.
7) Best beaches in the league, from which we recruit our ultra-hot cheerleaders/sex kittens - thus happiest players in the league.
