Its 800 and 10. And 300 and 5. And he still has more yards and TD's then anyone else in the league if you take those out.

Actually, it was 16.

Honestly, I think Robert Mathis has a legit argument for MVP.

I think I was perhaps the only person who voted for a D player for MVP last season. I certainly don't think it is a stretch to say that some D players are legit candidates.

Hah I was going to put Kicker instead of Punter, than I remembered ol' Ray.

why would anyone vote for d-line this year?

the last two years lawrence jackson was the run away sack winner and no one gave him votes, so why should you get some now?

Actually I know he got at least 1 MVP vote last season, since I voted and he was my pick...

This year, though, there are more legit Offensive candidates than there were last season IMO.

Not trying to "toot my own horn" at all (to borrow a phrase from Mr. Harper) but Gambler has dominated basically every team and put up ridiculous stats while BSB went out of our way NOT to stat pad.

Best player on a team that might go undefeated. Pretty legit argument.

damn, Larry Csonka doesn't get MVP looks after this season? let me put this into perspective.

if we even take out his two best games (800, 335) he still has 2084 yards this season, through only 13 games (160/game).

If we subtract his rushes from those games, hes rushed the ball 312 times this season, which puts him at a 6.68 yards/carry.

He'd still have 31 TDs if you took those games out as well. Lets remember here that we are completely taking out these games, not giving him some average equivalent to replace it with, hes running on 2 fewer games than others.

If we look at it then, without taking ANYTHING (gutted games/ridic games) out of the other top RBs in the league, he's still: 5th in yards, 2nd in yards per carry, 3rd in TDs. We take out similar games for those other guys, and re-balance the stats, and he's still wiping the floor with anybody.

And, if you look at it deeper, only 1 team has even begun to hold him down this season in the Marauders. and that was because they got ahead so early, and he only got 15 carries (still pumped out a 5.2 ypc). DDT was the first team this season to hold him below 5.2 yards per carry, and he finished that game with 4.7. He's been a consistent performer throughout every game in the season, whilst everyone else in the top 5 has had a game or more where they haven't pulled their weight.

I don't get why people can't see his utter domination this year, it wasn't like he built his statline just in that one game. He controls games, and he does it more efficiently than anybody else can say

I think he is a legit candidate for sure. I just think Gambler has been more dominant in leading BSB to the #1 seed in the West.

Gambler has 43 TDs and only threw the ball 12 times (4 TDs) vs the one gutted team he faced. Looking at the only other 3 QBs with more than 30 (not 40, 30) TD passes - if you removed their 10, 11, and 9 TD games vs gutted teams and replaced them with say 1 more TD than their season high, none would have over 30 TD passes this season. And Gambler has 43... oh yea, and he led an unboosted team to a 13-2 finish and #1 seed in the West.

So I think Csonka is a legit candidate, but I think Gambler was the Player of the Year in the West this season.

EDITED TO ADD: If this were actual voting, I would NOT vote for my guy btw...

You've got no chance Mathis, MJD will somehow get enough votes for Defensive MVP.
