Route Run and Sticky Hands. Save the others for when you get to a really high level and just need a place to spend a couple points.

Also I'd say go for some First Step and Quick Cut in the Speed SA Tree.

I wouldn't even go farther than jump catch, ever. The first 2 are very useful and jump-catch can be effective with a high jumping stat, but the last 2 are next to worthless.

Which is why I said after he gets to a really high level (35?) and needs a place to put points.

diving catch and one hand catch are trick plays. With the amount SAs you spend going that far up the tree, you could simply get more speed, agility, and vision so that you can get there faster and be there on time so that you can just make a routine catch on the ball.

Ok, but what about once you think that you've got your speed and agility high enough?
I know it's probably highly unlikely, but what if those SA's help you make catches like these when you're under thrown:

Despite the GLB replays only being shown in 2D, Bort has said that the games are played in 3D.

Well I was going through the replays of all my drops this season and it seems that almost all of them were on comeback routes such as curls or hitches:

Yeah I am not a fan of these. For example, for diving catch:

- How many low passes are you going to get a year? 10 or 15 at most?
- If you put 4 or 5 points in that SA...how many more will you catch....3 or 4 maybe?

So basically you'll be spending on an SA that:

- probably has a chance of coming into play on 1 to 1.5% of plays in a season
- probably actually works 0.5% of the time or less (considering all plays)

It's also not clear whether these stats are required to catch a low ball. If that was the case, it would be a slightly better investment.

Also, if we could actually tell when a ball is thrown high, low, behind and get a stat output of that at game end...it might help judge whether the SA is a good investment. As is...I think I know what a low pass looks like, but again its a guess.

good statement imo, altough if that's true, it make the 3 last possession SA nearly worthless ...

It seems like jump catch might be a little more useful based on the SA description, as it sounds like it can help you outjump a defender for a ball. However, it's not clear whether the QB will purposely throw a high ball when you have a jumping advantage.

well those aren't the only SAs that are useless in this game.

Look at:

Hands
Smooth Operator
Break Through
Most QB scrambling SAs

etc. etc.

Agree, but hands and smooth operator still may be usefull in the future if penalties are implemented, as well as the QB scrambling if the build is fixed.
While the possession SA are useless not because they aren't implemented, but because they'll be used like once every 5000 plays
