have his stats been brought forward to Bort so that he can look closer at it to make sure the game gets adjested next season?

It could be that because he is all speed, then all the slow OL who only focused on strength get completely demolished because they are so slow. Especially with the pathing introduced with evasive pass rushing.

Just a thought.

By the way, this argument goes for everything else people complain about. Like power backs being overpowered. Maybe that's because everyone built defense on speed, so when a big strong guy with the ball runs at them they just fall over.

Is that why he had 6 sacks against your team?

I don't see why the game needs to get adjusted. Maybe if the builds of JJ and some OTs he's gone against were both open, there'd maybe be an argument. If the builds are similar, there'd definitely be an argument. However, if JJ has 65 speed and the OTs have 35, then JJ's sacks are well earned.

He beat my personal OT several times in our game. His agility is well above cap and his speed is over 35.

Currently there's no way to protect against DE builds like JJ when they're playing against the ROT. The Offensive playbook needs to be changed to allow TE to be pulled out of routes and help the line block threats. Until then JJ is broken. Lets see how he does facing off against my OT at the LOT position.

Fuck your 5 sacks a game.

I wasn't aware that a DE, even one as awesome as JJ, was faster than the #2 WR in WEPL this season. If that's so, I'm amazed. And, if it is the case, then I'm even more of the belief that the game doesn't need to be adjusted. If you want to stop a super speedy DE, build or find a super speedy OT. If that doesn't work, think of a different build that might stop him. If nothing seems to work, then gameplan around the dude. Yeah, he got 6 or so sacks against us (at least one on my OT), but part of any game is creating and avoiding mismatches.

And how fast would that be?

Not saying. Watch game replays and compare it to someone's speed you already know to get a general idea. I doubt he's the fastest WR in the league, and I know he's not the fastest player in the league. But I'd still be shocked (and impressed) if there's a DE faster than him in WEPL.

This guy might be a fluke of this season's coding based on his far inferior performance last year, but why adjust the game to make him less effective when by your own admission it could be that he's working against weaker ROT players? Why have that weakness on your team at ROT?
Changing the game to account for JJ would mean nerfing builds like this one:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=75197
where the agent has obviously been working since season 1 to get it right and finally last year did get it right and continues to dominate this season.
Teams need to put together O lines that take into account the fact that damaging pass rushers can come from either side of the D line and O linemen need to be built to protect either the blind or the safe side of their QB.
Using code to "even the playing field" only serves to remove motivation to build a dominating player because sooner or later everyone's gonna be equal...and how fun is that?

You have a valid argument but you somewhat contradicted yourself. There is nothing broken about JJ. That's like saying that Power Backs are broken because they are all of a sudden very good this season. Neither statement is correct. He simply has a build that is very good at beating the ROT/RG. If anything, as you noted, there may be issues with GLB's blocking scheme, but nothing is wrong with JJ.

It has to be speed IMO. No doubt about it. My DE in another league looks like this

Player Attributes
Physical Attributes Football Skills
Strength: 84.24 Blocking: 19.96
Speed: 54.9 Tackling: 35.85
Agility: 50.11 Throwing: 7
Jumping: 23.04 Catching: 9
Stamina: 31.76 Carrying: 9
Vision: 30.52 Kicking: 8
Confidence: 22.72 Punting: 7

with 346102 in SA pass rushing and this is a guy at lvl 29 playing in AAA Africa and he has 3 sacks all year.

My guess is that flip my players speed and str and we're probably closer to what JJ is.

Fair?
