It is merely because you leave me speechless my dear. Well that and the sheer ruthlessness displayed towards your teammate left me breathless as well.

D is really hard to do. For DBs, tackles and PDs are bad things, shows you are getting picked on. A DB with a ton of plays, and NO stats, is the best DB.

For DL, sacks are sacks. Can't argue with that. And for DL, tackles, and ratio of tckles to missed takles, is big. FF is also big.

For LBs, is is a combo of both.

Anyway, the O stats are less arguable. Smersh and Fallon, despite splitting carries, have the best stats in BBB 15. you can't argue with that.

Actually I have to respectfully disagree with part of this.
PDs: Safeties usually get them when they come over to help on a play = Good
CBs could be getting picked on, but at the same time the ball has to go SOMEWHERE. Either way, it's not a completion allowed, so even then it's not a bad stat.

The tough one is DB tackles. A SS with a high number could be an excellent run stopper playing the 8th man up. A FS is usually a sign of a weaker defense, but at the same time the tackle was made as opposed to a whiff.

A CB with a ton of tackles is usually a bad thing. But I've seen several CBs in GLB with great tackle numbers who didn't allow many completions, but were monsters in run support.

Unfortunately there's no way to know all the above without going play by play through the games, and there's no way that will be happening.

Well here is my take on the whole CB stats thing. We have to remember what happened in the passing game this season. If this were LAST season, when well-built CBs were actually consistently shutting down WRs then yes I would agree that a majority of those with high tackles would be "less worthy" of being picked. But this season has seen a huge drop in CB ability with respect to the past, so I don't see how high tackles can be seen as only a negative. Does high vision and run support work against you? Well obviously not, and I know all of you know that.

I love playing off my WRs in some games and then having the stats and settings to bate the QB into throwing it, either getting an INT or a PD out of it. The result of the play is what it is: good for the defense, bad for the offense. And I think that any CB who is successful in that area should be seen as a solid CB.

Is there a personal bias to my thoughts? I'm sure there is slightly but I have also gone over more CB builds then I wish to admit and must conclude that many of the good builds result in decent stats for the individual when it comes to the end of the season, and not necessarily low tackles and PDs. Just my two cents.

byron and sicarius, you both make good points. The ball does have to go somewhere, but the QB looks for the most open guy. So even if the CB makes the PD, it usually, but not always, means his man was the most open.

I agree mostly about tackles and PDs for the Safeties. Good points. Tackles missed, or ratio of tackles missed, should be looked at. Just the # of tackles is a measure of how good the front 7 are.

Yeah my CB has always had a ton of tackles every game. But most of them come from stopping the Sweep or the Pitch.

I think every team should just vote for the best at each position based on whatever criteria they want to use. We don't need to get everyone to agree on what is considered a good stat and what is a bad stat.

And this is the reality of doing something like this. There's no way everyone will agree on what is actually best, nor can everyone devote the same amount of time to sift through all the rosters & leader boards.

Cast the votes as best you can, and then we'll tally and see.

Personally, I hope the West gets better turnout at the polls this season. I think we only had 7 or 8 teams contribute last time.

Rock the vote '08!

From Salem I would nominate:

FS Ajani Akinnuoye-Agbaje I feel he is one half of the best safety duo in the league and deserves the spot.

SS Nick Gangloff The other half of our safety duo and also worthy of consideration

DT Michael Green He is my player so I won't go into why he deserves consideration

QB Wenli Li controls our offense avoids TOs and keeps the ball moving also led the eastern conference in TDs passes for much of the season on a power running ball control offense

RB Bailey Blue He is my player as well but I think everyone knows when he does well we win

OL - our entire offensive line deserves consideration, Only 11 sacks and 13 hurries all season and among the highest ypc for our backs
