And the fact that the West couldn't hold the East's jock.

I'm not going to go that far. The top two teams in the West certainly could compete in the East and could beat any team. I might figure they are underdogs, but its not by much. The next few teams are also decent, and could probably compete with the rest of the BBB #16 teams very well. The gutted teams would get destroyed, obviously, by any team in the East.

You guys haven't had the pleasure to play 4 gutted teams, but if you did, you'd get a first hand look at how much they nerfed a team's ability to play against them. Once you take about a 35-42 2nd quarter lead, the AI reduces the level of your team by about 50%.

We coulnn't even get a sack against Golden State, and their level 6 blockers were holding off level 28s long enough to get 4-5 yard rushes now and again. It's embarrassing really, the lengths they have to go to try to artificially keep games semi-realistic.

It must be nice playing in the east where you get to play teams that can't stop you for 4 quarters instead of 1 and a half.

85-0 = Semi-realistic? Learn something every day.

I doubt if we'll have a Pro Bowl or anything in the West due to all the gutted teams. The Stats are all screwed up and it's not really worth the work.

You would first have to decide what constitutes a "gutted" team. Are Tulsa, Goshen, or Lauderdale gutted? I don't think so, but they seem to only be able to beat the teams that are behind them. It's funny to look at the west. The worst team has no wins, 2nd worst has 1 win (over the worst), 3rd has 2 (over worst and 2nd worst) and so on and so forth until you get to the 8th spot where it starts to get competitive.

Once you established which teams were going to count, you would have to go player by player and take out the bad games and recalculate the stats, establish an average per game and extrapolate that back out to 16 games. However, just like Savage said, it's not worth the work.

Yeah, and plus you have to look at when who played who. Some teams played teams before they were gutted and some teams also build up and improve throughout the season. I think the West will even out as long as the current owners don't give up too easy. Just look at progress made by Colorado and SF since Season 2. I think those 2 will be right up there battling at the top in season 5 and they can definitely rain on someone's parade in the playoffs this season.
The win totals from the bottom up are kinda funny, lol. It does go 0-1-2-3- etc. all the way up to 8 and then it's a real dogfight in the middle of the pack.

Sorry, I just realized I'm over here in the East Thread talking about the West again, lol.

I would definitely say 80 and 90 point wins compared to the 200 point wins that are happening everywhere else definitely qualifies as semi-realistic.. but I guess it depends on if you view things with an open mind or not, Tom.
