+1 I dont know why CB has Blitz SA but LB dont,and what's he point to have Swatball in 4th tier Pass Rushing tree.so weird it should be Blitz SA in stead.

They're also using standard 3-4 on 3 WR sets and using cover 1 near the endzone while bringing heavy rush. Very, very dangerous game to play if you don't get to the QB.

yes, thats the gamble we take, hoping the offense is in a 7 step drop and our OLB can get there. We ususally stay in base on a trips set.

Well it was nice to see at least some success today. In a fairly evenly matched game (Oceania Pro) we were able to get 2 hurries and 2 sacks from the 3-4.

Build better LBs. Put a little more time into watching replays and scheming. Blitzing on GLB isn't perfect, but it's not at all pointless.

I like how everyone wants a bunch of sacks in every game, and they also want to complete 80% of their passes and run for 200 yards.

You know, something is wrong with that.



FakeEdit: Blitzing isn't perfect right now, but with some care, it can make an impact.

I haven't had much luck blitzing in general. I no longer do 3/4 but will pull a lineman on obvious passing downs (335) and then mix up the blitzes including the occassional safety or nickle blitz.

Blitzing can help a lot against the pitches, and running game. I haven't seen our 3-4 be entirely effective trying to use it against the pass.

20 sacks from my OLB in a 3-4 scheme this season.

It is possible.

we get a few sacks every game blitzing LB's...usually in the 3-4 with a weakside shift. Only works on one of the teams I GM because they have the personnel.

I wish we had started it sooner...

This means that it will be Borted--ie., made super great the next season with no warning. Seriously. We are preparing a 3/4 defense now even though it sucks because there is a good chance it will be dope next season.Originally posted by Wolfpack
3-4 has some issues for sure this season. Blitzing is a major one, we have had very little luck with it.

Another major issue is the TE seal off, this is part blocking power too strong and part pathing.

Nope. The RG is supposed to pick up the blitzing LB - no matter what side the guy comes along.

The broken part on the offense vs. 3-4 is the LG/C double on the NT. If you blitz a LB there (LILB on bullrush), the RG or HB is supposed to take over - instead of the LG (who is forced wasting his time on the NT).
