We played the sentinels last season week 16 we won a tight one.

I think the week 16 games from last season were the ones that got jacked up in the middle of the sim and then Bort like Frankensteined a 2nd sim together with the 1st sim or somethign wacko like that. 'member? Cuz like all our stats were hosed and he was going to resim them if'n we REALLY wanted him too...'member that?

i personally think our top 8-10 are relatively close this year.
all I know is whoever makes the championship games from each conference, and even more so the eventual league champ, deserves big props.

The owner of the Panthers has the humor of a rock.

Regardless I am looking forward to the playoffs and an off season where we actually take the games seriously. I had no control over the 'fun' games we did during the preseason/off season, but next year I'd actually like to see how we do against the west when we use the games too see how evenly matched we really are.

For the record we barely lost to the Humpers last year in a game that we played after finishing 8-8, and I believe that they are not only the best team in the West, but probably one of the best teams, if not the best in all of the BBB leagues.

In the preseason we played a split series verses the Raiders in which we were testing out some new strats which have helped us a lot during this season considering how evenly matched our teams were.

All in all I really like this league, wish the gutted teams were removed, and that we could continue to play the same good teams year in and year out.

BBB is quickly becoming the Gut Gallery. Hopefully Bort institutes the new 'gutted teams to the bottom tier' rule this offseason, because some of our players are quickly nearing their 10 season maximum without ever having played in a truly balanced game/league.

Notice here.. how the Humpers have been elevated to dynastic status & that the game was a pivotal landmark in progress of the now rising Maryland team.

TL DR

It's extremely confusing the amount of hatred leveled toward guys that just wanted to mess around a little. I fail to see where it:

a) hurt anyone.
b) means anything.

...hell we barely lost to the Humpers last game of the season and won the only game against the east with a properly set roster. Yay, good for us! I fail to get excited.




Wait.. is this the same team we're talking about, because here.. the game was worthless & Maryland could have cared less about the outcome. Even the win didn't mean anything.. (kudos for getting the win though)

So..when the chips were down & you didn't think you had a shot at anything.. the game against the Humpers didn't mean squat & you could care less that you played close.. now that you win some games.. it was a landmark game against one of the beast teams in all of GLB...

But.. but um.. you see.. back then it was different, because.. um...

Again.. feel free to deflect from the fact that your opinion of the game has taken a 180 as you go into spin mode to get some 'atta boys' from the rest of the league for doing what all the other playoff teams have been doing for 2 seasons now & make the topic "that party pooper Sanderval doesn't engage in enough haha's with the rest of us on the forum".

I distinctly recall the words "discuss" being listed in the instructions for this thread.. well... here i'm discussing. Just because the discussion doesn't favor the opinion of the thread creator doesn't make the information invalid or untrue. Next time, if you don't want me to rain on your parade with oh.. i dunno.. facts, just start the thread by narrowing the range of discussion by saying "myopic posts only" & i'll gladly leave it be.

Oh wait.. i was supposed to make a bunch of jokes & word puns to make light of my conference losing record against the other side of the league in an attempt to build morale & engender a sense of camaraderie amongst my fellow league mates to forget about the overwhelming amount of losses we've amassed.. damn my granite sense of humor, but I happen to find watching you guys make excuses for why your losses are irrelevant, but your 'almost wins' are exceptional, in a game based solely on wins & losses, kinda funny.

agreed, and its ironic, because imo, he is by far the class of the east. even though we beat them twice (late last season and this preseason), i would put nothing past the panthers or sanderval, and believe they could compete and beat any team in the west, and it wouldnt be an upset.

mcd is getting close to that level..

the rest of you.. better hope mcd or michigan gets to the title game for the east, because i see any other team getting handled by the top 6 or 7 teams of the west relatively easy.

edit: the cubes are REALLY scrappy and know what theyre doing.. i wouldnt put anything past them either, based on their previous track record.

my guess based on the first half of the season, the title is new brunswicks to lose.
