Here's another one then for you, gassy. Anthony Gonzalez, WR at Indy. Projected to be the #3 but Peyton spreads the ball a lot, and he'll get the weaker of the CBs in most coverages.
As for Brennan, I don't really think he's looked that good this preseason. I'm a Redskins fan (but fuck Dan Snyder), so I've seen the preseason games, and I don't think he has what it takes. I know his numbers look good, but it's been more the receivers than the passing. But who knows with players anymore, a lot of them seem to come out of nowhere to have good years.
I saw him in that first preseason game he look great, perfect passes. I haven't seen him since though.
That's definitely been his best game thus far. The second game he looked bad, and the third, his numbers were the product of his receivers, IMO. But, like others have said, he's young, and has barely gotten his feet wet versus NFL talent, so there's plenty of time and room to improve. Too many people in this area, though, think he's going to be great because of what they've seen so far. I disagree with that, for now. I want to see him in there against at least 2nd teams before making that assumption. Of course, here in DC, we have to go with cautious optimism regarding any QB that comes through. We've heard too many times about these great QBs they've drafted that have turned out to be total crap.
