That's basically what I was referring to. It seems putting up huge numbers against weak teams is great for your power ranking and beating good teams brings your total down... but it's a numbers thing... I'm not good at numbers, so I wouldn't understand. lol 
Well, it seems that way just because of the effed-up way the schedule happened to take place this year for the 6.
The ratings are based on per game numbers. Consistency and/or continued improvement are your friend in these rankings. In the BBB's first year, when the ratings used aggregate totals instead of per-game numbers, you're right that blowing out cupcake teams helped you out. Now, it's based on average numbers and whether you can maintain or improve that average.
Now that you are playing better teams, you're not matching the numbers you put up against the cupcakes, and thus your score is falling. You'll still gain points from winning, but you're losing points based on your game totals dropping. Of course, that said, I do believe you got closer to the #2 spot, as I mentioned in my earlier post, so did you really move down?
Something to think about...

Indirectly, everything ends up balancing out.
