I'll disagree with his teammate. Lance did his job while battling cancer.

Although it did help that he was battling it with steroids...

Here's the thing; Lance won every year for nearly a decade. Phelps won 8 medals in 8 days. That type of record was held for so long by a swimmer and then beaten only by another swimmer because there is really no other sport where you even have that opportunity.
If Lance Armstrong had 10 events over 2 weeks for him to win, what would happen? If Phelps had an overall game every year to dominate, then what?
Both are exceptional, because they are dominant and change the way their respective games are played, and even looked at, but how could anyone fairly compare their intangables?
And isn't this the point where people are supposed to obligatorily yell at TNoles for... well, something?

And you're sure Phelps is clean?
When talking about steroids, the Jamaican sprinter team almost looks too good to be true. If they're clean I'd say they are good enough to be compared with Phelps.
I'm fairly positive that every olympic athlete is clean. Either way, you can't compare Armstrong and Phelps. Both are the greatest of all time at their respective sport. It's like trying to compare them to Michael Jordan, or Tiger Woods.

Why? Because a french guy said so?
No, because all the top riders do it. How is someone who isnīt juicing supposed to keep up with similarly talented athletes who are? Not possible. Armstrongīs still the greatest of his era, but donīt forget that in the good old days, riders would compete in all the big tours, all year round, instead of just working towards being at peak fitness for the tour de france.
