IMO, the players that the previous owner leaves doesn't matter. Cash is king.

Everybody has a price and you can rebuild by buying players through trades.

I disagree. In season 3 I offered possibly the most lucrative contracts in all of GLB and all were rejected. Buying players through trades just amplifies the problem as you spend money that should be spent on stadium upgrades to buy players that are usually disgruntled and unwilling to re-sign. And we can continue to go back and forth on the issue but the fact is we have 3 good owners in this thread alone struggling to put together competitive teams after inheriting bastardized teams but it will mean that much more to us when we emerge triumphant.

Well boyz, I am the new owner of the Lemoore Tigers. What a mess. I was hoping for a brand new team but here I am. Rather than be a quitter (like the last guy who owned them for a day and dumped them) I'm going to try and rebuild. It will be very tough though and the finances are not good. However, nothing ventured nothing gained. For the record I would like to see some rule changes regarding teams like this. I have been put in a crappy spot by Bort and would lose the FPs if I just bailed.

By the way I need cash and am open to trades in some cases.....

I'm sorry about the position you've been put in. I really do hope you can turn it around because the teams in BBB#10 love the competition. We will be pulling for you. Good luck.

It really does suck for you. I have helped two other guys rebuild but it can be depressing, when you need a winning team to sign FAs. But The Stallions went from 6-10 last year to 6-2 now so it can be done.

I've seen a lot of guys in the player market looking to go to rebuilding teams and not good teams, I'd assume because they want to be sure they'll be a feature in the offense, and the guys aren't complete chump change either.

That is our selling point for defensive players. Are you prepared to be run ragged? Lots of plays available while we rebuild.

First support said they would do nothing about our money issue, so we sold some damn good players for cash. Then after the trade is accepted and cannot be stopped, they give us cash....doh!!! Rebuilding is an understatement right now.

Thanks for all the support folks. Sounds like a fun league.

You have some good players on your roster, i would start by extending as many of them as possible for as long a contract as they will let you. Thats how i rebuilt the warriors so quickly. We were 2-14 last yr, and alot of FA didnt want to sign with a losing team. So i made sure to resign all my key players and encouraged them to bring their other players over as well. It is a long process, but you can do it.

Well guys, I've been waiting to post here. We (Canton - formerly Lemoore) have FINALLY won a game. Granted we beat the worst team in the conference, but we beat them. This has been a real bitch let me tell you. I fixed a disastrous financial situation in a matter of days and now are signing a few players. But that part is the hardest. I have some cash now but not a lot and players don't want to play for a losing team unless they get a ton of cash - and sometimes not even then.

That said, I have a great GM helping me and we are slowly making progress. Having been the new owner for just over a week there is now measurable progress in many areas. We inherited a small stadium and want to add on so we can sell more seats. It does take a while and cash. Cash is king, no question. I am envious of many of your stadiums and wish I had one with a lot more seats now.

I do wish there were some rules to help new owners who get stuck with really bad mismanaged and broke teams. If I had a few more decent players and more cash from the start it would be a whole different ball game and we could have been at least somewhat competitive out of the gate.

But all that said it's a challenge and the game is fun. Every little victory is satisfying. One day I hope to see you guys in the playoffs! Realistically that may be a couple seasons away but who knows!

I, as an owner who took over a team that was royally screwed (the seattle spartans, still under the same name) completely understand where you are coming from. I took over a team that was completely gutted other then a few low level players, anyone that was of a higher level (minus maybe 4-5 guys) all demanded release.

Not only that, but i had about 1.5 million to my name, with a 1.5 million dollar loan. I contacted support but they said they would do nothing. So i didn't get any money, didn't have any players, nothing. Luckily one of the few guys who remained on the boat was mickyt1985, who is a HUGE help at GM. He is a huge reason why my team has made a turn for the better.

Last year we beat teh worst team in the conference. Other then that we were pretty much walked over. Then Micky had his turn in the offseason and brought it MANY role players, right after all of our tickets were sold we had enough to bring in some guys. We are currently in 8th place and very much alive in the playoff race. Only one season after being completely gutted and left for dead.

It is very possible, you just need time and it is always good to have at least one person there who can help you build the team to where it should be.

There is a small core of us in South beach that were part of the Gutted 1-15 season that we got mid-season. There were alot of changes in the first FULL season that KILLED our chemistry but we managed 5 wins...90% of that team is here this season and like 98% of us will be returning next season. We are going to the playoffs this season and are a up and coming team which will be a force to be reckoned with next season if not this playoffs!

Finding that right group can be the hard part but just keep your head up. You can do it!

Good luck to you with your turnaround...at least at this point of the season you can get a head start on the guys who are gonna get the gutted teams on day 41!

Good luck turning things around. The deck is stacked against gutted/abandoned teams and it's really not fair. If this game is going to enjoy longevity this issue needs to be addressed in a big way.
