About the week 2 predictions not being out. This past Saturday we had a massive lightning storm over my neighborhood. Well as luck would have it we got struck - or at least the 100' Oak tree 5 feet from my house did. I have exploded bark all over everything, my land line is dead and my high speed connection with it, my Direct TV is shot, my fridge, microwave, dishwasher, dryer and washing maching are all zapped, plus my wifes laptop that she left plugged in is dead too. I'm most upset about the Oak though. Besides being an amazing tree in and of itself (I'm a closet tree hugger, sorry), it pretty much covered the back end of my house with shade in the summertime. For those of you living in the south you'll understand how important that is. That tree probably saved me $100 a month from May thru September in cooling costs. Now it's gonna cost me about $2000 to take it down, not to mention everything else I'll have to replace. So, long story short - I have no internet access at the house for a few days until AT&T gets out there for repairs. I'll try to get on at work when I can, but no guarantees on that end.

Again, sorry all.

just dont let it happen again

I live in Miami, Florida and they no longer build houses with windows that face east (at least not in my community) for that very same reason. It was 105 with humidity making it feel like 120 when I was playing soccer today. It's just too damn hot so I definitely feel for you man.

I also can relate cause I had a huge oak tree fall on and total my car during Hurricane Wilma a couple years back. I was more upset about the car than the tree but nevertheless...good luck with everything. From experience, I have found that if you have a tall ladder and the tree branches are not in danger of falling through your roof, you can actually cut the tree up yourself. Just make sure that you cut it into small pieces cause those things are much heavier than they look.

Good luck to you again. I look forward to reading your predictions again whenever they come out. This is my first year in USABBB15 and you have been a great help in letting me get a feel for the league...

I feel for you, man. I'm on the Mississippi coast. Before Katrina we had 22 trees. Now we have 10 and a new roof.

if you give them wood.

hehe...

made me laugh, that is the silver lining! Start putting out ads in the papers asking if anybody wants to come and get some wood from you. Free wood! Call Mr. Johnson at 555-wood. Had to go there....sorry
