GG Minnesota, was a tough one as usual.

First of all, congrats to The Columbus Woodys for their amazing win over The Napierville Neanderthals. That HAD to be The Game Of The Week. Poor Boot Odie got The Ray Finkle Award. Now he knows what Bobby Bowden feels like. Our Ballbusters damn near blew it against an improved Cleveland Buckeyes team. One thing that REALLY pissed me off though was when we had a 14 point lead in the 4th quarter we went for it on 4th down on OUR OWN 12 yard line. WTF? The Buckeyes were able to score easily to make it 31-24. Thankfully, time ran out and we held on for the victory. Other than the one MAJOR glitch, I've been satisfied with things overall. I do wish that the Offensive AI was as in-depth as the Defensive AI. That would make things REALLY exciting.

We definitely got lucky for the win. Definitely expect to see you guys in the playoffs. We didn't expect to even keep it close to you guys.

The tactics are shaping to make this the most exciting season yet.

Grats Tom - finally got the "monkey off your back" (or in this case caveman). It was a very tight game. I still need to watch the replays to see how the game went.

P.S. - Not to take away from your win in any way, but I am fuming at the way that Bort has screwed up my defense (DEs in particular). Major Blindside went from the #1 sacker (WAY out in front) to sucking ass (1 sack in 2 games). Until Bort activates the "Pass Rush Style" option in advanced tactics my speed DEs will continue to bull-rush. How sad.

I remember Major Blindside absolutely destroyed us last season. We have modeled our DEs after him

Man, I hear ya about the DE's. All mine are totally ruined. My favorite one had 17 Sacks last season in A#7 and this season he looks like a Blocking Dummy. And not just in the 3-4 either.

Our DE's are actually doing well. DT's (of which I'm one) are also doing OK. I started building mine with a balnce from the beginning.

Containment or LDE's are ok, it's the Speedster Agility types that are screwed. And the new Advanced Pass Rush settings are a load of crap. That is something Bort threw in just to shut everyone up. Kinda like Chemistry a few seasons ago.

As far as I know, the switch in the settings screen are in but the sim code is still not looking at that setting. Bort has been testing it on test sims and the D League. So unless it slipped by me this still isn't active.

Yeah the code has not been activated all over yet.

I know 1/2 of Crimson's DEs blow chunks this year (and one of them is mine). We counted on our DEs to be fast enough to shut down the outside runs, and right now it's awfully iffy.

Well, I guess that would explain why it doesn't do anything

from what I read in the post. Its working for the D league, season 1 leagues and season 4 leagues. Each one has a different version. How much difference or which one is current I don't think Bort said. Its in the post about DEs sucking in the bugs forum.

Actually I take it back, BBB server doesn't have the latest version. It has one of the in-between versions. Seems like Pro's aren't having much trouble with it though so I might just push it out everywhere tonight. I'll have to look through the recent sims.

Yeah, the DE changes suck and looks like Bort has mad it even easier for linemen to block agile pass rushers with the new update. Sucks. I think it's early to say "MVP" Blindside won't be back on top of the sack leaderboard.. but there are more to DEs than just plain old sacks. Like say, sacks PLUS hurries, which Blindside was dominated in last year by one Mr. Mark Brooks.

Did you like that wide open TD I gave you? That play was designed with a FS playing cover 1, but I forgot that the FS isn't in that package.

Oh well, the kinks and bugs of season 4. It's going to be a long year.
