In the midst of a 73-0 blowout (although it was only 7-0 at the time), my punter Curly Bonspieler boomed a 52 yarder, with no return to pin the overly dominant Rapid City Rushmores at their own 3 yard line. Of course, the 92 yard run against our defense two plays later by Mark Quick kinda put a damper on things.

Next drive, Mr. Bonspieler followed up his previous effort with a 41 yard no return punt to the R.C. 2 yard line.

The defense held a little bit stouter this time, lasting 6 plays before eventually giving up the 62.5 yard TD scamper to Mark Quick.

Ok, so maybe on further review, Quick should get nominated for either of those two runs that broke open a close game midway through the 1st quarter....but I've gotta try to pull out that glimmer of good news wherever I can for my Rocky Mountain Thunder after this game

Watch as a level 26 HB gets jacked up by a level 17 WR. Yes, that's right a WR beat his ass (Who's Your Daddy?). While a level 18 LB picks up the ball, and out runs everyone for our only TD.

Here's my nomination. We had some big plays this game, but this is my favorite. The run is nice and all, but its really all about our WR blocking 2 guys out of the play to make it possible.
Got to love WRs who actually know how to block.

Man, I hate that play. Pitch up the middle, that had to be bounced outside. Who runs what is basically a draw from their own endzone? Everyone knows the blitz is coming.

I'm partial to this one, our only points, 3rd play of the game. I was hoping for a little shock and awe, no such luck.
