We can discuss the criterea here for being nominated at contreversial spots like PR or KR. There should be a spot for key role players also like blocking TE and receiving TE or blocking FB and offensive FB. I think it is the only way (by just having owners only vote) to ensure that there are not multiple votes by super active teams or other advantages like making guys GM's just to vote. I would be more than interested to create the ballot and get the owners to vote.

top 5 is a lot considering how many teams we have. I think an AllStar A team and an AllStar B team would be more conventional. That way owners would only vote for 1) who is the greatest at that position and 2)the backup. As far as what type of player they are, you can't always look at the number. A blocking TE may be better then a receiving TE but there is no way to tell unless you watch replays.

I think you guys did not understand or maybe I worded it wrong. The top 5 would be the ballot that you get to pick from instead of every player in the league. In order to be considered for being a Allstar you have to at least be top 5 statistically then you have to be voted in. Top 5 just gets you nominated and on the ballot.

Example:

QB's Western Conference

Stevie Hare
Kenny Palmer
Dejon Redd
Rip VanWinkle
Joe Starr

Here is the ballot for QB Western conference as an example if we were to vote right now. Only owners get a vote and must post their votes here. There will be a winner and a runner up.

I got what you said Bigmo.

Jihad: While stats aren't the only thing to look at, it really simplifies the voting using those numbers. A LT could get tons of pancakes but if he's allowing 20 sacks a season I wouldn't put him as top LT but with no real way of knowing with out watching all the games that would be difficult. The only real other way is to divide up the work of going through each game and writing in stats that GLB doesn't keep track of. The two important stats I can think of are sacks allowed and receptions allowed.

I am just trying to find a way to whittle down the list a little. I can check out five guys and perhaps look into them a bit but more than that I might lose my mind.
