Team is doing well...but hard to just pin all of the success on d-line gen...could be the other defenders are just built well.

I was thinking of building a DT, NT, DE at the same time so I could put them on the same line and I won't mind sacrificing the NT to help the other two players.

My HB only had one TFL against his DL:

Other than that he has had a couple of good runs no big deal.

The difference on the Dline has been signifcant. The production of just the Dline is awesome. I think Dline General has been great so far for our Dline!

Noting your stamina is about 37. How many plays do you usually see in a game with a 37 in stamina?

I'd like to add my results to the thread.

My NT, now 24, had General at 7, then bumped up to 8 early in the season.

I'm not an expert on DE production, but I think these numbers suck. SE Asia league capped at level 21 to start so the players were competing against players of a similar level.

I don't know how many of these tackles occurred during special teams.

LDE level 26 7 tkls, 2 hurries, 0 sack
RDE level 25 35 tkls, 10 hurries, 7 sack
backup level 19 26 tkls, 0 hurries, 1 sack
backup level 19 12 tkls, 1 hurries, 0 sack

Starting DT (no other position played)
level 24 59 tkls, 15 hurries, 2 sack

backup DT played DT/LB/special teams, but here are his numbers
level 23 42 tkls, 0 hurries, 1 sack

Also, it wasn't uncommon to see the OT's as the pancake leaders for their teams, so it could be that the DE's had poor builds.

Did anyone see an improvement in their d-line when they boosted general from 8 to 10?

The idea is that if your NT has insane STR and DLG, they boost your DL's Stamina, so your DL can put the points that they would normally put into Stamina into other attributes that make them better players. Basically...

DL1 has a regular NT with STR/AGI/SPD/VIS/TAK and 0 DLG. Their entire line now needs around 35 Stamina in order to get significant playing time.

DL2 has a DLG NT with 90 STR and 10 DLG. The rest of their line now needs 10-15 less stamina, those 10-15 points going into Agility at DT or Speed at DE. That DL is now more potent, and plays the same amount of snaps as the first line because of the stamina boost from DLG.

DLG doesn't directly improve the rest of the DL. It means that they can spend less points in the "naggy" stats like Stamina and Confidence so they can invest more SPs into their "on-field" stats like Speed and Agility.

I'll dispute that claim. DG's purpose isn't to allow the other D-line to spend less into stamina or confidence. It's designed to give the D-line a boost in both stamina and confidence, but in a way that positively effects their play. I'll also dispute where you said about STR high DG DT's being ideal. High STR DT's are rendered useless in the best leagues. Medium STR and High AGI with high DG is the way to go if you're looking to make a NT.

I love your build. We are looking to sign a NT like you on my team actually.

Even if Wall doesn't work very well (I don't know), I would work on getting that up to 10 next too.

In theory, that would be the best build you could have for an NT.

High stamina. High confidence. O.K. strength, high line general and high wall.

Wall would help off-set the strength you would think, of not do more than just having higher strength would do.

That's just in theory though.

I find high strength works well with Break Thru in order to get the first string Center off of the field faster. More likely than not, the second stringer will not have any points assigned to Line general. Also consider higher strength has more of an impact with Big Hit than does higher agility (when you get to make a tackle), which I find is more of a pass rushing SA tree thing anyway.

Both high str or agi strategies work, you just need the right complement of abilities to go with them.
