UPDATE:

I just added custom equipment (+2 to speed, +1 to agility)

Why would you split custom equipment? And only +3? You don't have the other 300 FP?

Furthermore, regarding your dual-role build:

When you eventually play teams that aren't lame your dual-role build is going to be ineffective. You'll be dragging your team down.

But it's your player -- do what you want.

Edit:

16 games 5 KR 144 yards 28.8 Average

That is your stat line regarding KR for all of season 3.

That isn't very good.

I should prolly know better than get into the middle of a e-fight, but regarding stats:

I don't care if my CB's stat-line is all 0's, just as long as he looks like he's trying to man-hump the WR all play in replays.

ok guys for all you that doubted him being a ballhawk. He has 3 INTs in 3 games. And he is only playing around 45 plays a game cause we have more backups that we are trying to get playing time rather than last year, we had hardly and backups.

And next level I am putting sp into speed to get it to a 69, then when I hit lvl 30, I will put one into speed and the other into agility to get speed to 70.

coming from a guy with 56 speed and a 39 vision. Oh and 1 INT. I am pretty satisfied with my confidence right now. I was told to get it up to around 22 or so and it is awefully close. try focusing on your CBs crappy build, before you criticize someone elses build.

A couple things...

To the guy saying he has awful speed is on crack. My level 28 CB is slower then him and is yet to be burned for a deep TD in his entire career. The number of people who talk like experts on builds and give out awful advice is rediculous in GLB...

Catching is too high, but you know this.

If you want to be a ballhawk vision and supervision are your friends. Getting INTs is all about seeing a throw and putting yourself in position. Agility (acceleration) doesn't hurt either.

Also, being a starting CB and a return man is a bad idea. Would you rather be champ bailey or devin hester? You cannot be both. The problem isn't the wasted skill points in return specialist, since return specialist is a garbage SA and should currently be avoided like the plague by true CB and return-man alike.

The problem is you use A TON of energy on special teams, so your alot more tired out there on defense, which means you are allowing alot of catches you need not allow and hurting your team because you want to be a KRer. As an owner to be honest it annoys the crap out of me the number of CBs want to return the football, as it makes them not only have a bunch of wasted skill points, but it also makes then too tired to do their job correctly. Any owner who lets their #1 or #2 CB return kicks is hurting his team. Make a choice for your player and go forward with it. And I honestly know and don't care if you end every game with good energy, because end-game energy tells nothing close to the whole story.

If you want a ton of INTs play on medium coverage as you'll get targeted more and get more tackles. If you want to stop more drives play on close coverage. Go aggressive either way.

ok thanks a lot. This is good advice. OK, I added 300 FP to get the SA tree and the first post is updated. I think my CB is looking more and more like a Ballhawk now. He has 4 INT in 4 games. I guess I can see what you guys are saying now with the starting CBs cannot be a Returner, but the thing is I am in a lower league than my level and I have high stamina. So, I am able to play both positions and if I do lose some energy, I am still 4-5 levels higher than the WRs, so I am pretty good. I haven't given up 1 TD yet this season.

Also, we don't really have many players that are actual returners. I tried building my guy like a returner, so I am averaging 32 yards a kick and everyone else averages like 24-26 on my team.

But, thanks for the advice.

hahaha I thought he was saying my confidence sucks.

I wouldn't touch tackling or catching for quite awhile. I also agree with the poster that said to get your vision up. I'd want it to the 2nd soft cap by your level. I also think SA's are fairly overrated for CBs.

i suggest more jumping if you want to be ballhawking, but strength helps in both of your desired roles. you need strength to get off blockers and to pull away a ball from a WR and also to tackle.
