Down where I come from all the folks greet each other with HOWDY!, a firm handshake, they look you in the eyes and they say ma'am to ladies .. and they refer to a group of folks as yall.

They hold doors, pull out chairs and help folks when they look like they are having a hard time.

I know yankees dont understand this, but where I come from some traditions and pleasantries are not dead.

I can understand saying, as it is a force of habit of a regional dialect. However, typing it, and constantly at that, is a sign of idiocy.

And we should type differently than we talk? We're taught that it is correct to use y'all in a given situation, and suddenly because we are typing instead of talking, its now incorrect to use?

Well, I was born on a ranch just outside of Waco, Texas. I grew up driving tractors and tipping over cows on the weekend. One weekend a buddy of mine decided it was a great idea to go trailer tipping (mobile home). We were wasted and gave it a try....the trailer didn't budge, but we both had some pretty good head injuries. Anyhow, I run this website http://www.MortgageSuccessBlueprint.com and it makes me lots of dough! I love being a dumbass redneck! Thanks for listenin' ya'll!

Fair enough, personal opinions are a different story. Not agreeing with you, but i cant argue with your own opinion of someone. It just sounded to me like it was aimed at people who use those terms in general.

I moved to Moroa Illinois(briefly), right outside of Decatur and the people were some of the most foul mouthed racist people that were your typical southern redneck stereotype from elitist loud mouthed hypcrites. Even a redneck from Texas like myself (who has a tastless sense of humor sometimes) was deeply offended by the way they spoke. That town was a useless experience and ran my ass right back to Texas to the crappy humidity, brutal summers, giant mosquitos, BBQ, football, fishin', and good peoples.
