Since you can't kick as far, you gotta make sure your coach knows what range to set field goals at.

Is that something the OC can set?

Probably because I've never been an OC.

I'm just basing it off of what I've heard others saying since I've never been an OC either. But it sounds like that's what the problem is. Some OCs are setting to kick field goals when the ball is from the 35 yard line or closer. But what they think is that the field goal length will be from the 35 yard line. What's really going on is that the LOS is at the 35 yard line. Add 10 yards for the end zone, and another 7 for the snap, that "35 yarder" just turned into a 52 yarder.

I just PM'd my OC to find out the depth of his powers.

I'll report back.

The max FG range can be set...probably by the OC.

I think it takes it from the LOS though, so if you want to kick a 60 yarders, set it to 43. (I can't guarantee that is 100%, but I believe it is.)

My OC said he doesn't have the ability to do that yet.

XFD, my OC has set FG's to the 38 yard line... i'm just hoping my kicker hasn't been nerfed so i can still hit them

And my DC just stated that we're going to stick with the 3-4 defense (3 LB's, 4 Lineman)

The furthest kick i've seen since the nerf is 51.5 yards. Even Ray Finkle has missed a 53 yarder.

our level 23 kicker missed 3 field goals last year, missed 3 extra points in game 1,

yeah I have no idea wtf happened but I am now missing extra points after not missing one all year last year..... not stamina related, either. something definitely has changed.

anything that causes you to miss extra points is kind of silly.

So what attributes do we need now to make FGs? Been missing a couple/game. Only missed a couple in the previous few seasons before that. I've got a lot in kicking, strength, vision and confidence.
