I don't think that made PATs should count for anything since most of these kickers should be near automatic. There is a -3 point penalty for missing them though.

The only issue with PATs not counting is that you penalize kickers that are on teams that get in the endzone instead of stalling out.

I would suggest, perhaps, taking the top 3 kickers with MADE PATs, and the top 3 in PERCENTAGE MADE PATs (will probably be the same or close) and award them a bonus.

#1 made PATs on the year/quarter/whatever - +10 pts
#2 - +7pts
#3 - +4 pts

#1 percentage made PATs - +10 pts
#2 - +7 pts
#3 - +4 pts

This will reward teams with a higher than average TD:FG ratio rather than punish them for having an efficient/explosive offense.

I'm ok with this only if it's the bonus for percentage. I think numbers might do the opposite of what your are worried about. Maybe percentage bonus per quarter? I'd like to hear what the other kickers that have already signed up have to say about it though.

You're in some pretty outstanding company here. In the game, definitely; locked up, doubtful.

Manchild, how about this for PAT's: +1 every 2 PAT's made, -1 every PAT missed. This doesn't emphasize PAT's too much, and will definitely make people more concerned about being automatic. Otherwise, what if some guy makes 3/3 FG's and hits 0/3 PAT's? Not the best kicker, right?

So, example, a Kicker is 23/27 after 4 games, he gets 8 points for contributing to his team where he could have had 12 if he had done his job better. I think that sounds ok. What do you think boomer?

I'd still like to hear some more ideas about PATs from those participating.

...and until 60+ start becoming as easy as 52-58, you're still only getting 60+ credit if you actually hit a 97yd (zompagna ).
