Great team breakdowns Gwenn, very well done.

Thanks. I'm hoping someone will do one for the West.

These kinds of things take time to put together, but I really like this division, and want to try and help keep it one of the most active in the game. At least until a good number of us are all in the A8.

My new OT is in that league now. Along with the you know who's(ny strikers...) lol. He is only a backup but he is hoping that team does a little better than most did here lol.

The Gremlins are hoping to win a game this season. And maybe we'll even start being active in the forum next season if we think we can make a tiny splash then. We're just hoping there is enough fan support to pay our comparatively weak roster when all is said and done.

Unless something changes with one or two teams, I'm going to guess the Gremlins win at least one, and possibly two games this season, and should have caught up a bunch next season with the way xp/leveling works.
It really starts slowing down once you hit the high teens/early twenties.

Gwenn, are you going to do a fast review after you see the east teams play their 2 scrimmage games?

Wasn't really planning on it, since I have a ton to do (as much rl as on here), but if I find the time, I might.

Still waiting for someone from the west to do a Western conference review too.

Here's my Western review!

There's going to be a lot of plays, some fumbles, some interceptions, and who knows... maybe some touchdowns. All in all my final prediction is that half of the teams in the division are going to make the playoffs.

In all seriousness though, I usually wait till the 3rd-4th week of the season to decide who I think are the biggest threats.

If I can spare the time I'll try to do one. But I don't know it nearly as well as I should.

That's ok! Just dive in, look at stats from last season, player levels now (levels are definitely imperfect ways of judging players - but sometimes its what you have), ratings of the teams vs. each other (again, imperfect, but a useful tool), and what you know about the teams and do your best.

People will appreciate the effort, and this is all in fun anyway.

Odds are that I'm dead wrong in half my predictions, and there will be numerous surprises - and that's with me thinking I know most of these teams reasonably well after playing them and scouting them for 2 seasons.

Good work on the preview GwennA. I guess i'm always a bit pessimistic but I don't see us (Makos) repeating with the same amount of wins (13) that we had last season. I think the conference is too tough with alot of really solid teams top to bottom. I think it'll definitely be a fight between all the teams below NBSK. They will be the outright front runners from the beginning again. Maybe we can score a TD on them this time...maybe...lol

I agree. I also admit to looking forward to the Miami/Miami game already. First season, that was /the/ game to see which of you was going to go to the playoffs. Last season it kind of lost some of its lustre.
I expect it to be a pretty decisive and important one for one of you again this season.

I hope we can make the battle of the sharks more competitive.
It is a fun game and one I look forward to every season.
