I like this guide, but you HAVE to mention First Step as an elite SA, especially with the new agility changes.
Since I started focusing more on FS with my DE (high agility but not nutso high) I've been consistently more effective on the pass rush against quality OTs, and it sure helps in the run game also.
Specifically for a build that includes little strength, FS will allow you to shoot past the OT without him ever getting the chance to touch you.
I don't have experience with a high First Step build so I can't really say much about it.

As I said, strength-based builds can be very successful, but this is a different perspective. I'm sure that my guy has low strength and he plays pretty well, but I'm also sure there are a lot of builds that are successful with strength.

60 speed, 60 agility, 30 strength
You'll need more than 30 str if you plan on not getting consistently pancaked.
Not true. My guy's strength is actually less than 30 and starting LOTs against my team accumulated a total of 2 pancakes over the whole regular season.

Thank you for the insight on a speed rusher, sir. I'm also thankful that J.D. won't be terrorizing the BBB#14 anymore also

Eh, with this type of build I hope you never plan on playing LDE, because your DE will be horrible unless he's in RDE position.

I'm actually guessing he would be even more succesful at LDE. LOT's tend to raise their agility and blocking higher, ROT's tend to do strength, and the pancake tree. I'm willing to bet that every single LOT he has faced has higher than his <30 Str, but he gets by with superior spd, agi, and vision. He would be even more outmatched in str playing LDE, but probably have an even bigger advantage in the spd, agi, and vis departments.

I bet you'd be wrong. Have you tried playing at each spot? RDE ALWAYS tries to go around, LDE ALWAYS Bull rushes them straight on.

Yeah, both of my guys have played both sides, on two different teams. I haven't noticed any difference whatsoever in how they play one side vs the other. I would see my guy with 11 levels of first step trying to bull rush on like 75% of the plays from either side. He is blind though, so maybe what you say is true for players with higher vision.
Although with my DT it seems to me that they play the way they are built. I had 6 in strong base, and pretty high strength, then I wanted to get more diverse, so I raised my agility and speed, and that idiot tried looping around the OT every time. Once I went back and got my strength much higher, he is back to bull rushing.

thats cuz the way the player is built.
I remember someone mentioning, if you have str higher than the rest it will favor bull. if you have agi/speed high it will speed rush

Wrong, I've played RDE, my guy still tries to go around and I'm not even soft capped at speed.

Dangerous route to take as your players was in BBB leagues last season. Which would likely be againest new / below standard OT builds. Once you hit OT who can engage a block on you. I doubt 30 strength will allow you to break that block.
Still 35 sacks does look nice on stats. We will have to see how you progress in A and hopefully higher leagues.
