jethroz - This has nothing to do with us losing a regular season game. We are not even in the playoffs.

Unconquered - The clear advantage is in group scouting of common opponents. Especially for Slugs\Ewoks - who are in the same conference - but also for Techmo since we all do play games out of conference.

I would be happy to post this on the main forum and see what the consensus is. I thought I would give the owners\GMs involved a chance to explain their side of the story. Which so far amounts to - we don't see it as cheating and we did it on purpose as a group of friends.

I wanted to ask in our league forum, as it was a league issue.

You all have access to each others builds and forum info and gameplanning. This looks like several owners\GM\friends\whatever using collective information to benefit multiple teams that they all run\gm. That's cheating in my book, sorry.

Your perception and opinion see it as cheating. You guys are stretching for an excuse for your loss and decided to play the cheat card. Brilliant tactic - make yourself look like a bunch of immature asses in front of everyone.

Please show us a quote or link to a post where it says being a GM on a competing team is cheating on GLB. Since I know you won't be able to produce this, why don't you post it up on the main GLB forums for a consensus vote. I'm betting you won't because you already know the responses you will get.

Typical gamer if it does not spell it out in the rules its fine never mind it may be considered unethical or outside the spirit of the game by those of us with a few morals. I guess you probably think what the Patriots did was ok too right.

However there is no real way to stop the information sharing so there is really no reason to say anything more about it. Even if the administration were to come out with a policy or rule against GM’ing multiple teams in the same league the gamers would just use the PM system to share their info. So I guess the way it is now may be better for those of us who want to compete within the spirit of the game because at least we know who is in bed with whom.

By the way bones team did not even make the playoffs so I doubt he was reaching for and excuse for a loss.

My connection is to Tyante and without looking i'm not even 100% sure who the Owner is of the SLUGS (think its Whisper). I only am a GM for Tyante's team because as I said i'll be heading there next year with some of the friends from Tecmo. Have we helped scout each others opponents? Nope, i've never given any advice to Tyante on playing any of their opponents because a) I don't know shit about them b) I don't scout anyways Jethroz does and Jethroz has no actual connection to Tyante c) My team played the Toxins and no offense I don't think we needed another teams input d) I don't trust other peoples input, I trust Jethroz's who Scouts very indepth by himself and posts really really good game plans.

Again, feel free to post in whatever forums because it matters little. The Ewoks are playing the All Stars in the championship and both teams made it entirely on their own.

The reason Whispersoft and I are GMs for each others team is because we have worked on exchanging finance information through season 1. We exchanged a lot of PMs back and forth through these two seasons. Personally, I didn't know anyone in this league, even my own team players, before I bought my team. Through our PMs and mainly talking about finances, it finally dawned on us that if we invite the other person to be a GM and open up the finances, we could easily share that information. That's what I do for the Slugs, help them with finances.

As for Unconquered, he will be joining the Ewoks after this season so I offered him a GM spot. On the 9th, way before we were even looking like a possible shot at making the Western Conference Championship game, Unconquered said he'd make me a GM of Tecmo if they made the Championship game while I was recruiting him. I took him up on the offer.

let me ask you this... has anyone ever PM'd an owner of another team to find out what they did tactics wise against an upcoming opponent, to get a better understanding of how the game works, and what to do...

thats certainly not cheating, thats being smart and asking for advice... there is no difference here (even though as they previously said, not like we even got help from techmo or anything)... but I know tyante has talked to GM's throughout the league about tactics and what not... so what

Well those are at least more reasonable answers and the thread is a good explanation for Techmo\Ewoks.

Which is why I titled the thread with 'sorry if this has been explained somewhere else'. I was giving you guys the benefit of the doubt, but everyone got so defensive, it made it look even worse.

Its just cheap...I KNOW for a fact that as a D coordinator for the Bearphins I've never PM'd anyone about "prior game tactics" and pretty sure none of are other GM's or Bearphin have EVER done this. Its just cheap....but thats my opinion...

Eh, I don't really care. We made it to the Eastern finals 2 years in a row without any of this, so we're good.

I agree with w/ the original poster completely. That doesn't matter one dang bit though, so go ahead and try and justify your actions, but too many it's obvious you are cheating.

Regardless, as Tyante and I have both said we haven't exchanged that information. Even if I had what the hell would I say "heres prior game tactics on the Bearphins, although I realize you don't play them here ya go". Just so you know also script can completely give you all percentages of any team so again make a valid point or go cry somewhere else.

Wow..instead of blaming the loss on impossible ways to cheat maybe you should think of revamping your staff and firing people who have no reading comprehension. God know's that changing up numbers, scouting and such would be way out of this guy's level.

Its a game, its an honor system, and people over see experience that people have in this "GAME" as a disadvantage for others who dont have the luxury of having good connections. I'm a GM in one team in a league and I had 3 guys in the same division different teams, and as much as manager would ask me for tactics I said "ask me again and i will ask for my release" so with all respect to your concern, just let it be. GM's are simply back up's to the owners but the owners are the ones who set tactics, through recmmoendations from GM's, but once again its a game and honor system

I didn't realize CODOubleBizzle had so many multiple accounts. I thought he was the only one in this league who blamed everything and everybody else when he lost. You guys had showed a lot of class but this is getting ridiculous now. I can give you a simple explanantion of why the Ewoks won. Tyante, myself, and a couple of other members OF THE EWOKS used virtually the same gameplan we used all season. Whispersoft is a GM on our team because he and our team have became friends, and we respect him. He doesn't whine when his team gets beat. I have forum access on the Slugs team. Why? Because we all have gotten to know one another and like to be able to communicate privately so we don't have to listen to some of the ignorant drivel that some of the people post on the leaue forum.
