I kind of liked how they placed a lot of weight on the completion percentage, interceptions, and yards per completion.

Good list.

If only you knew what I did behind the scenes...

The list should have a TD% or list the number of carries for each player to put the numbers into perspective.

again, i'm not going to do everyone's homework. everyone is encouraged to look into the stats and compare the players to a greater degree if they so choose.

heck, owners of the players (this is your invitation TSE) can feel free to put that stuff in here.

Well I already did this homework for myself back in Bolster's thread so I'm already familiar with the data from reviewing it back then, but like I said before, because of E.D.'s TD production on how drastically fewer his number of carries were I think he deserves serious consideration...

You say that you aren't going to do everybody's homework, but you already did by posting the stat lines, I just think it's biased against E.D. because it doesnt show the stat that is strong for him, yet each other player is being shown what made their stats good, why shouldn't E.D. have the same right to have his claim published in the same grouping so that the other owners can see it?

I thought the whole point of you digging up the numbers and making the list was because nobody else is going to bother to do that?

It's not bias when an obscure stat that can be very misleading isn't used in comparing players.

Obscure stat? It's not obscure, number of carries is critical to having an appropriate reference point for how many TDs a guy scores. What if Michael Jordan only got to play 2 minutes a game, and had a very low PPG stat? Would he be so great then? Yes he would, but you would never know because you aren't paying attention to how many minutes he's played.

E.D. 275 Carries with 22 TDs
Greg 490 Carries with 20 TDs

I think there a huge difference there.

Yes, it's obscure. YPC is a much better indicator. TDs are too situational to be a good indicator of overall ability. Mike Alstott had 3 less TDs than OJ Simpson, but about 1000 less carries. Mike Alstott > OJ Simpson? Of course not, well, except for all that other stuff of course.
