So here's a question. Should I put SPs into sticky hands of just build up my catching to like 40? which is better?

Sticky Hands costs 10 SP to get to 6 points, assuming you have route run to at least 3 and no custom boost to the possession tree.
Catching 40 varies depending on your level and initial roll, but probably costs you at least 20 SPs - it certainly should be better than Sticky 6 as it costs twice as much!

The thing is you will need the base skills to be high enough before many points in a SA is effective .
In this example you would have a lot in sticky hands but not the catching to go with it , so I think it would fail .
Get that catching up there and you would be much better .

Im a lvl 24 WR and at the point of deciding what route to take with my build. I currently have 80 speed/50 agi and dont know what i should do.
RIght now ive narrowed it down to either pump First Step to around 9 and get speed/agi to about 83/54 for next season.
Or, continue to pump speed/agi and get them to like 88/57.
You guys think pumping an SA like first step would be more beneficial?

I would say , with the new changes coming up , I would pump up that agility more .
Close the gap between speed/agility , that's what I've been going for with my build .

i heard a 3:2 ratio for speed/agi would be best... and 83/54 or 88/57 should put me real close to that.
So either way, that shouldnt be an issue... its just whether or not i pump First Step or not.

Right now I have catching at 20. I hear 30 is a good level. So assuming 10 into catching and 10 into Sticky Hands, or just go 20 into catching to get it up to 40?

As an experiment, I put 8 in route run with my speed and agility at only 20 a piece. I ended up with almost 100 catches. The cb's I faced were at least 2 to 4 levels higher than me.

route run is huge early because its a flat addition. its less of a deal late, because its a flat addition. assuming its a +1 per point, which is a very shaky assumption but good enough for the discussion at hand, that means right now you were getting 20+8 speed which is a 40% increase. after soft capping both, usually around lvl 10 if youre not an untrained monkey, we're talking more like 50+8 which is more like a 16% increase. add in gear and a few more levels, and its obvious how people see route run helping early and then wondering why their 9 point SA god is floundering at lvl 18.

well then again after 48, how many SPs does it take to get it to be +8?
After 48, to get an attribute up 8 points, it would cost 16 SP.
To get route run up to 8 points, it costs 20 SP (if you started with route run at 0).

i wasnt nessicarily saying it wasnt useful, i was just saying its impact is higher the lower your abilities, which causes a lot of people to over value it. and please, dont fixate on the +8 because i have no clue if its that amount or if the progression is even linear. it may in fact be the cheapest way to increase your skills post 48, skill point equivilancy wise, but without knowing exact values its impossible to say. Like i said, my only point was, dont over value its impact because it gave you a huge bump at lvl 6 in the D leagues.

Yeah. I'm trying to figure out the value of "sticky hands"
What I should do is run a D-League experiment with one WR who has nothing but catching and then have one WR who has nothing but sticky hands and see who's better.

I'm sure the catching would get more looks.
Sticky hands won't be nearly as effective with low catching. I'm GUESSING (purely a guess) that Sticky Hands is a multiplier, and the higher your catch rating, the higher your boost from sticky hands. Could get catch to 30, then focus on sticky hands? But neglecting speed/agility won't even get you open half the time lol.
