funny. whatever you have to say to make yourself feel better bottom line, our top 4 teams coming back played the best the east had to offer next season, and went 10-0. we shut out the 'poopsmiths' by 20+ points, when you actually had higher level players. we would destroy you. fact is, if you came over to the big boy conference, you wouldnt have beaten 'a' playoff team, let alone 2 number one seeds.

and if we want to compare 'passing yards allowed', our last 3 games were played against the 2nd, 3rd, and 6th ranked qbs in the league in passing yards.

ps: the 'garbage team' we played and beat TWICE (28-7, 42-10) was the 7th seed in the east and beat you guys 51-10. so where else do we want to go with this?

dont get me wrong, there are some really quality teams in the east, michigan could have easily beaten us, and would not have been an upset by any means. im just talking a little shit and letting off steam more than anything.

You know, I've tried to be civil with you East Conference guys. However, it's become obvious Sanderval is the only guy in the East with a sense of perspective. When the West pounded the East in Season 2, practically the whole East rose up and said "We were playing for Season 3". Well Season 3 just went past you guys ... so what happened? Playing for Season 10 now?

What you have to realize about the east conference and the west conference here with all the games and statistics for season 3, is that you're all horribly stupid.

All our scrimmage losses, yes. When you put punters on as your PR and OT's in as LB's, and CB's #2 WR's I think that's a sign I'm having fun with things. I don't know how the games would have gone if trying, but we were not trying in our first two scrimages.

I'm baffled by the superiority complex by some in the west. Yes the West is probably a stonger conference (especially the bottom 1/4), but the East can hold its own and it's not like we shit on the west like you feel compelled to do to the east. That baffles me considering what a cool person your team owner seems to be, too.

*sigh* I am going to say this because some of you seem hell bent on disputing it if it comes from anyone in the West, and this is basically what many of those from the West posting are thinking anyway.

It's really very simple.. if you want to be taken seriously, you can't do things like screw up your roster (which you control), and lose, and then use it as an excuse. If you create the handicap for yourself, then it's not an excuse for losing. And while not everyone did that, the losses, and the nature of some of the losses, deprives most of you of any platform to dispute their claims.

They aren't coming at you guys with just bravado & ego (while that may be present), they're throwing factual data at you & no one is countering back with factual data. It's mostly fact being countered with conjecture or rationalization. And the little bit of factual data being used in your defense is, ultimately, inferior to the nature of the Win/Loss record over the past 2 seasons. If you win your games when you try.. then maybe you should try more often, because no one in the West is going to just take your word for it when they slam you by double, or in some cases triple, digits.

So as much as it may hurt your pride, unless you won all (or at least most) your inter-conference games you simply do not have a solid basis to dispute their position, and if you did, then you are most likely the exception & not the rule. And if you had "fun" with your roster in your scrimmages, like i said last season.. you ultimately helped create this scenario. Maybe you didn't think of how you'd live with the results of said games at the outset, but hopefully the "fun" had from watching goofy sims & watching as OoP players clumsily allow Western teams to march into the end zone is worth the textual abuse your taking now, and will be taking until game 16 next season.

If nothing else, the East is incredibly short sighted compared to the West because the east teams seem to be the only ones doing goofy things with their rosters in scrimmages. Did anyone bother to think, "Hmm.. wonder why the West teams never have "fun" with their rosters?"..maybe because there's a strong correlation between the league that takes the games more serious, and the league that has more inter-conference wins. For two seasons the west has been more serious & eastern teams have wanted to have "fun", & for two seasons the west won more games & made threads about it. Well.. now you see the difference between the eastern version of "fun" & the western version. The western version just lasts 15 weeks plus the offseason while the eastern version lasts a few hours at best.

Whatever benefit of the doubt you were getting, died the moment that 200+ to nothing score was posted. If you haven't made the correlation yet, then you probably earned both your inter-conference score & the numerous threads that will appear to bash your teams because of them. You guys didn't even have to win all the games.. just be competitive, and from what I saw most of the scores were not even competitive.. so no.. no one is going to say your conference is strong, no one is going to complement your team, & no one is going to assume that the score would have been closer if you had tried. If it bothers you to read threads bashing the east, then make threads to talk about how much fun it was to do those goofy scrimmages, so when you post how awkward your linemen was at KR, or how awkward your LB was at WR, the Western teams can wholeheartedly agree with you.. chiming in with anecdotes on how easily they ran past you into the end zone or how effortless it was to sack your TE/QB.

Also, don't even pretend that if the tables were reversed (not likely, but for the sake of making a point) that had the east dominated, that the east would not have made similar threads to the ones the west is making now.

Next season you'll have scrimmages plus the friendlies.. so hopefully for the first time, most of the conference may actually take the scrimmages seriously & have "fun" in the friendlies... but it will probably end up being the opposite.

Edit: For those of you posting that Canton was the notable exception... you're shooting yourself in the the foot because Canton is no longer here.. so that argument is already invalid for next season. If anything, from their perspective you just made a case for how much weaker the east will be.

I don't feel we have crapped on the east at all. When we lost in the playoffs and saw our two games scrimmage games were going to be against 2 of the better east teams, we came out and said that we were going to treat them as playoff caliber games. Talking crap about which conference is better and then at the end of the season you have an opportunity to prove which teams are better and you decide to goof off instead, yeah some teams are going to be a little pissed they beat you because you 'didn't try'.
